Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6 THE WALK

K and A walked between the flowers. A asked K, "So why is every flower here white? These are tulips, right?"K replied while walking, "Correct. Yes, these are white tulips." After a pause, he continued, "So, A, tell me what you think about the world's political structure."A said in a cold voice, "What do you mean by that?"K turned around, looked at him with a slight smile, and said, "You know what I'm asking. Come on, tell me your thoughts."A replied in a serious tone, "In this world, the best political system is democracy. But there are other types of ruling structures too, like dictatorship and monarchy…"K stopped A before he could finish and said, "All of these are just short-term and temporary systems."A, now completely serious, shot back, "I'm not a fool. Do you really think you can say anything and expect me to just believe it?"K answered calmly, "Well, yes. It's true. Now listen carefully: no matter which structure you choose, it will fall one day. You cannot change this truth."In the background, dark clouds gathered in the sky and the sunlight grew dull, but both of them ignored the change.K continued, "Think about it, A. If you choose monarchy—what happens if the king and queen die without any children? The system collapses. Others may try to take the position, but it only sparks a civil war. If you choose dictatorship, you live in constant fear of being killed by the people around you. You have to be extremely careful even while eating or breathing. If you choose democracy, one day your own citizens will rise against you and revolt—no matter how much progress and development you brought them. Not because of you, but because of the corrupt people in your party. There is no permanent solution in this world."A replied in a frustrated voice, "Why do you think like that? There must be a solution."K answered calmly, "There is no possible system that works—not until everyone follows the rules out of respect, not fear. No matter what you believe, nothing lasts. At some point, people will disagree. They will forget all the progress and development you gave them. You cannot make everyone happy, A. That is why no perfect system exists, and it remains one of the main reasons for conflicts and wars."Suddenly, A found himself in a different place. The sky was completely red, like blood. He heard countless voices screaming for help. A could not understand what was happening. He became extremely scared."Stop it… stop it… sto… p… it! STOP IT!" A shouted, covering his ears as the voices grew unbearably loud. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!"A screamed as K placed a hand on his shoulder."Are you okay, A? Why did you scream?" K asked.A suddenly opened his eyes. Everything was normal again. K was smiling. A's hands were shaking. He was completely confused."I… I… I am okay. Just… just a little hallucination, I think," A said, unsure of what else to say. "You can continue, K. I'm fine."K smiled and said, "Well, not every time are they hallucinations. Maybe it was real."A looked directly into his eyes.K chuckled, "I'm just kidding, A. Now let's continue our walk."A followed K quietly.K asked, "So, A, how do you feel now?"A, still scared but with a little relief, replied, "I think I feel a little better now."They continued walking and finally reached an open field with short grass and a steady breeze.K asked, "So, A, how does this place feel?"A felt calm and at peace. "It feels like a dream… like I have finally reached my destination."K walked toward A and suddenly pushed him. Before A could react, the ground behind him vanished. He fell backward into a dark, endless pit. As A fell, he heard those voices again. This time he did not react. He simply fell into the darkness and closed his eyes.K watched him with a smile, glanced at his wristwatch, and said, "Finally… showtime.". — END OF CHAPTER 6 —
