Chapter 109 - Chapter 109: Open Conspiracy Against Peter Parker & Captain Britain Psylocke Arrives

London.

Thick fog. Light drizzle.

On an old street.

Two tall figures faced each other from a distance.

Peter Parker looked at his old friend. He felt no guilt, only contempt.

"Two perfect gene fusions. Your body has evolved nicely. Not bad. It seems the Osborn family was useless until our classmate Vincent Hall took over and made your legacy shine."

Peter's chuckle carried far down the street.

It landed clearly in the ears of the Green Goblin, Harry Osborn.

The rich playboy of the past was gone. Hatred filled his heart, but he had matured.

His cold gaze locked onto Peter.

This was his sixth assassination attempt on Peter.

The Lizard Serum gave Peter incredible regeneration, restoring his eyesight rapidly. The Man-Spider abilities allowed him to grow stronger with every crisis. His Spider-Sense detected every shift in the wind.

But Harry was growing too.

He had become an apex predator.

Like a venomous Black Widow, he silently hunted his prey.

Harry had wiped out every Hydra operative in London.

He wove a massive web over the city, waiting for prey to fall in.

Only Peter—a fellow spider with top-tier regeneration—escaped him repeatedly.

"What right do you have to mention Vincent? You're just trash he beat down. Oh right, Gwen is already one of Vincent's women. And you, a failure, can only hide in the shadows, afraid to step foot in New York."

Harry responded coldly.

"Vincent is strong, but he has limits. Harry, genetic potential is infinite. Dr. Connors and I found the path to godhood. Let go of hatred. If you join us, I can even help you reclaim Oscorp."

Peter persuaded, his expression showing a hint of grief.

"I'm sorry about Mr. Norman. I was under the side effects of the Lizard Serum. Killing him wasn't my intention. I just wanted to know who killed my parents. Anger made me lose control."

Peter's amber eyes welled up with tears.

"Hahaha!!! Peter, your tears are so fake it makes me laugh."

Harry laughed clutching his stomach.

Peter's tears vanished instantly. He shrugged helplessly. "Harry, I let you try six times. You can't kill me. Even with the Anti-Lizard Serum, it doesn't work on our adjusted genes. Everything you do is wasted."

"Wasted? No. I cleared all Hydra members in London. Can you go back to the Siberian labs now?"

Harry smiled wickedly.

"My role in Hydra is more important than you think. Harry, if you join, I can introduce you to the Council. You could be the King of New York."

Peter persisted.

Harry sneered. "haven't you figured it out yet?"

"Figured out what?"

"Our roles."

Peter's smile faded. "What do you know?"

"We've been killing each other in London for so long. Hydra hasn't moved. Other factions ignore us. Peter, you're smart in genetics, but as a kid from Queens, you'll never understand the games of the elite."

Peter's face twisted. "Shut up! If not for the Osborns, I would have had a happy, wealthy family! My parents wouldn't be dead!"

"Pathetic. Aunt May treats you like a son. She doesn't even know Uncle Ben died because of you."

"Shut up, Harry!"

Thwip.

Peter shot a web. Harry dodged effortlessly on his glider.

"Don't you want to hear the cruel news? Peter!"

Frenemies fighting to the death.

Harry wanted to see Peter suffer. He knew he couldn't kill Peter instantly due to the regeneration.

"Let me tell you. My father didn't kill your parents. The Spider Gene project was crucial to Oscorp. Your father was the key. But back then, my father's control over Oscorp was slipping. Oscorp was infiltrated."

Harry grinned.

"Hydra has existed longer than you think. Their obsession with the Super Soldier Serum transcends everything. It comes from the trauma Captain Rogers inflicted on them."

"Oscorp obtained a flawed serum—the basis of our deal with the Military."

"Your father hid the product. But Oscorp wouldn't kill him; they needed the Spider Serum."

"Killing Mr. Parker was the stupidest move for Oscorp."

"But the faction interested in the Spider Serum... was Hydra. The only faction that successfully infiltrated Oscorp."

Harry's smile widened.

"Killing my father won't avenge yours. But you joined Hydra! I wonder how Mr. and Mrs. Parker would feel knowing their son gave their life's work—the Spider Serum they died protecting—to Hydra? To the murderers?"

Peter froze.

Harry flew higher on his glider, abandoning the chase.

"Here's a crueler fact: In Hydra, you are a disposable lab rat. Your role is a genetic carrier. A perfect test subject. All your 'success' is just data for Hydra to create generic soldiers."

Veins popped on Peter's forehead. "Harry, you win. You made me angry. But if you think a few words can break my bond with Hydra or Dr. Connors, keep dreaming."

"Believe what you want, Peter. Vincent gave me the perfect gene serum not out of mercy, but because our fight provides him with perfect combat data. I believe Hydra knows this too. They treat our battle as a field test."

"The seed of doubt is planted. Peter, I don't need to kill you. Hatred will destroy you. You will investigate Hydra. You will ask Connors. And when you verify what I said, Hydra won't let you leave. They will harvest you."

Harry flew into the sky, laughing maniacally.

Harry had received instructions.

Vincent telepathically told him these words.

Phase 2 gene fusion data was complete.

Now, force Peter into Phase 3.

This was Peter's only chance to surpass Hydra. Otherwise, Hydra would liquidate him.

Harry was angry. He wanted to kill Peter himself.

But Vincent told him: Peter living in agony is better revenge.

New York.

A tall, sexy woman checked her phone.

News from London. The battle of monsters ended abruptly.

No victor. Just stopped.

"The gene war manufactured by Hydra and the Ice Demon... Phase 1 field test is over."

Psylocke's eyes flashed with anger.

Carrying the Sword of Might (Excalibur), she arrived in New York.

She met Storm at the Xavier School. They were both Horsemen of Apocalypse once.

She knew Jean killed Charles. Logan killed Jean.

Everyone she knew was gone.

Walking in New York, Psylocke felt lost.

After Apocalypse, she returned to London, obtained Excalibur, became head of the Corps, and Captain Britain.

But she didn't like it.

Excalibur meant absolute responsibility.

The world was scarier now. Mutants were being conquered. The Cure was here.

"Oscorp has hidden agendas."

Psylocke stared at Oscorp Tower.

But she didn't enter.

She knew the boss was the Ice Demon.

The Royal Family sent her to recruit SHIELD or the X-Men to kill him.

A demon blaspheming God must die.

But what did she see in New York?

A death beam grazed her. If not for her instincts, she would be ash.

The Vatican's Angel died. Dracula fled.

Too many heroes died.

Psylocke knew: Even with Excalibur, fighting the Ice Demon meant death.

[Secret Order: Infiltrate Oscorp. Become an employee. Get close to Vincent Hall. Gain his trust. Steal the gene tech.]

The Royal Council sent a new order.

Psylocke almost smashed her phone.

"Don't they know he reads minds?"

But Psylocke knew her own latent telepathy (awakened by Apocalypse) was detected by the old men.

She learned mental defense from Apocalypse to capture Xavier.

Magneto's helmet was missing—stolen by the Brotherhood.

Psylocke wanted to leave, but she turned her curvaceous body toward Oscorp.

Fully armed, she was stopped by security.

"Tell your VP Raven that Psylocke is visiting."

Raven's position was known in mutant circles.

But few knew she served the Ice Demon.

Those who knew dared not speak, fearing the Demon would track them down.

Raven was processing the Military contract. Three soldiers for the serum.

When she heard Psylocke was in the lobby with a sword...

Raven knew Psylocke. A former Horseman.

Her psychic knives could cut through anything. She beat Beast easily.

Now she was Captain Britain with Excalibur.

And Raven remembered: When she shapeshifted into Psylocke for Vincent, he got very excited.

Now the real deal was here.

"Sandi, bring Psylocke up."

"Psylocke? The one I know?" Sandi was stunned.

"Yes."

Sandi was confused. Heroes were bold these days. Walking in armed?

Was she here for the serum too?

Intelligence agencies were leaking like sieves.

"You look familiar."

Psylocke asked Sandi in the elevator. Psylocke hadn't aged in 30 years due to body swaps and magic.

"I was X-Force."

Sandi lowered her posture. She knew she couldn't beat Psylocke. This was a top-tier warrior.

"Deadpool's team?" Psylocke frowned.

"No, that was... never mind. Think what you want."

Sandi didn't explain.

Why fear her? No matter how strong Psylocke was, she'd end up in the Boss's bed eventually.
