Thor Odinson finally started to take the mysterious diary seriously.
"Spider-Woman Gwen?" He skipped that part. Mortal affairs didn't interest him.
"Earth-199999 Universe?" He scratched his beard. "Why is everything so complicated?"
After staring at the glowing text for half an hour, his muscle-bound brain finally processed the concept.
"Transmigrator? Fourth Wall?"
These terms were alien to Asgard. They didn't have Hollywood. They didn't have meta-fiction.
"I am a character in a story?" Thor scoffed, throwing the book onto the bed. "Ridiculous! I have memories! I have scars! I am the son of Odin!"
"This Lucas knows nothing!"
But doubt lingered. The diary knew too much.
[Thor's Hammer landed in New Mexico the same year Tony Stark outed himself as Iron Man.]
[Speaking of which, that Easter Egg was funny. Stark finishes his press conference, goes home, and finds Nick Fury—the Egghead—waiting to recruit him into the Avengers Boy Band.]
"My hammer," Thor muttered. "He knew about Mjolnir before I was even banished."
Thor had only just learned where his hammer landed. He was currently plotting to break into the SHIELD base to retrieve it.
But this diary... it predicted it.
He read on.
[Hammer Bro? God of Hammers? Damn, this mortal has no respect.]
"Hammer Bro?!" Thor roared, his face turning red. "I am the God of Thunder! Not the God of Hammers!"
"And 'Hammer God'? Is he mocking me?"
Yes. Lucas was definitely mocking him.
"Damn mortal," Thor grumbled. "Pray I never find you. Or I will show you the power of..."
He paused.
Without Mjolnir, he had no power.
Odin had stripped him of everything. His lightning. His strength. His armor.
He was just a man. A very strong man, but a man.
"If I get my hammer back," Thor vowed, "I will be Thor again. And then... then I will show them."
He scrolled down to the next entry.
[In a new timeline, Hawkeye shoots Thor dead.]
[A mortal killing a god. What a joke.]
"Dead?" Thor blinked. "Me? Killed by an arrow?"
"Impossible!" Thor shouted at the empty room. "I am Asgardian! Arrows break against my skin! Bullets bounce off my chest!"
"This is a lie! A slander!"
But then he saw the video attachment. His curiosity got the better of him. He tapped play.
The holographic screen expanded.
He saw the rain. The mud. The desperate fight against the SHIELD agents.
He saw himself—depowered, mortal, weak—reaching for Mjolnir.
He saw the struggle. The failure. The scream of despair.
And then... thwip.
The arrow. The blood. The lifeless body in the mud.
Thor stared at the image of his own corpse.
"No..." he whispered. "No!"
"How dare this mortal! How dare he strike a Prince of Asgard!"
Thor raged, kicking the motel chair across the room. It smashed against the wall.
But under the anger, there was something else.
Fear.
For the first time in 1,500 years, Thor felt vulnerable.
He realized the terrifying truth.
"I am not a God anymore," Thor whispered, looking at his hands. "I am just... Thor."
"If that arrow hits me... I die."
"Really die."
The video had shown him a possible future. A future where he charged in blindly, like he always did, and paid the ultimate price.
"I need a plan," Thor realized, his warrior instincts finally overcoming his pride. "I cannot just walk in and take it."
"They have weapons. They have archers. And I... I have nothing."
Suddenly, the diary updated again.
[But don't worry, Goldilocks. In the main timeline, Hawkeye doesn't shoot. He just watches.]
[Because Nick Fury isn't an idiot. He knows better than to start a war with Asgard.]
[But still... maybe wear a vest? Just in case.]
Thor stared at the text.
"Goldilocks?" he grumbled.
But he felt a wave of relief.
"So," Thor mused. "This Lucas says I survive. If I am careful."
"And if this Nick Fury is smart."
Thor looked out the window towards the crater site. The rain was starting to fall.
"I will go," Thor decided. "But I will be... cautious."
"For once in my life."
