Chapter 139 - Chapter 139: Everyone Has Their Own Agenda! The Blackbeard Pirates Are Fleeing!

The New World, Flame Island.

"This is all your fault!" Avalo Pizarro glared resentfully at San Juan Wolf.

"If you hadn't suddenly grown in size and crushed the bamboo raft, how could we have ended up stranded on this isolated island?"

The "Dictator King" complained about San Juan Wolf, and even threw in a jab at Blackbeard. "If you ask me, it would be better to let me be the Captain instead."

"Zehahahaha! Pizarro, the position of Captain is only for the strong!"

Taro's Sword Qi had left several incurable wounds on Blackbeard's face, which were now merely stitched together, giving Blackbeard a very hideous expression.

On his chest and abdomen, the charred scars blasted by "Nether Dog" remained, making his already ugly appearance even more repulsive.

The rest of the Blackbeard Pirates were in similar conditions, more or less left with wounds by Taro.

"I thought forming an alliance with you would be a good choice, but I didn't expect to end up like a stray dog!"

Shiliew stroked the stump of his severed arm at the shoulder, his voice cold.

Blackbeard's gaze froze for a moment. Without saying much, he stood up and walked over to Jewelry Bonney, whose hands were tied.

"To think a little girl like you could have a bounty of over a hundred million. The New World is a sea for the strong; only those chosen by fate can survive."

"It must have been hard for you to travel all the way from the South Blue, but the weak should be eliminated. Your fate ends here! Zehahahahaha!"

Blackbeard laughed wantonly, a flash of ruthlessness crossing his eyes as his words carried a hidden meaning.

"As a partner, you are too weak. I don't need you!"

As he spoke, Blackbeard reached out and hooked Jewelry Bonney's chin with his finger.

"However, if you were to be my woman or my slave, I might consider taking you along!"

Jewelry Bonney glared at Blackbeard with gritted teeth and kicked out at Blackbeard's ugly face.

"Go to hell, you ugly fat pig!"

Blackbeard was kicked over, drawing loud laughter from his companions, though it was hard to tell how much of that laughter was sincere.

Blackbeard didn't get angry either. He patted the dust off his clothes. "Too uncouth and too weak. I can't have that. The most important thing for a woman is to be gentle!"

Then he turned around and walked back to his companions. "Well then, as agreed, we'll use her to trade with the Marine for a warship!"

The sea area near Flame Island.

Taro walked up to Akainu, who was standing at the bow of the ship. "Admiral, how about coming down first?"

"Hmm?" Akainu grunted.

"We have three warships, plus you standing at the bow. Before we even arrive, the Blackbeard Pirates will have run away!"

Taro curled his lip. In the original story, it was exactly this appearance of yours that scared Blackbeard away.

Akainu thought for a moment and stepped back. "What you say makes sense."

Taro breathed a sigh of relief. Because Van Augur was dead, the Blackbeard Pirates currently had no sniper. He only hoped Blackbeard would discover the Marine's intentions a bit later.

"Captain, they're here!" Burgess stood on a giant rock, looking out through a telescope.

"Zehahahaha! Are they here? Partners, we'll have a warship very soon!"

Blackbeard was overjoyed.

Burgess jumped down from the rock and handed the telescope to Blackbeard. "I'm afraid not, Captain. Three warships have come. I think something is wrong!"

Blackbeard took the telescope and looked toward the sea. The distance was still a bit far, so he couldn't see clearly.

But the simultaneous appearance of three warships exceeded his expectations, causing his expression to change several times.

As the warships drew closer, Blackbeard's unease grew, and his face became darker and darker. Suddenly, his eyes narrowed, and he shouted,

"Guys, retreat quickly! Akainu and Taro are on that ship! Now is not the time for a direct confrontation with them!"

Before he had even finished speaking, he had already turned and run toward the other side of the island.

There sat Jewelry Bonney's pirate ship. It was a backup plan Blackbeard had kept just in case.

"Zehahahahaha! A total failure!"

The rest of the Blackbeard Pirates didn't dare stay either, following closely in their escape.

Shortly after, the warship docked. Taro leapt down from the bow, only to see Jewelry Bonney's crew of pirates tied up.

"Where's Blackbeard? Ran away?" Akainu also caught up quickly and asked in a heavy voice.

Isn't that obvious? Taro thought as he prepared to fly into the air to search for the Blackbeard Pirates' location.

Then he heard Akainu looking at Jewelry Bonney and saying, "I heard you escaped from the Government's hands; it was quite a shock. But it's all over now."

Jewelry Bonney glared at Akainu and roared, "I will never forgive you!"

Their conversation made Taro pause for a moment. Had this "Big Eater" been caught before?

Taro knew she would escape not long after being caught this time, because at the World Conference two years later, Jewelry Bonney seemed to have disguised herself as the Queen Dowager of a certain kingdom to sneak into Marijoa.

Right, it seemed Kuma was also once the King of that kingdom. Tsk tsk, the relationships between these people are quite complex!

Taro's gaze lingered on Jewelry Bonney for a while. Well, although she had been beaten quite badly and had some soot on her face, this binding posture was actually quite nice!

"Ahem, I'm asking you, which way did those guys run?"

Taro coughed twice to hide the embarrassment of his stray thoughts, then spoke up to ask.

Jewelry Bonney only glared at Akainu, ignoring Taro.

Taro walked over to the "Big Eater" and crouched down, grabbing her neck and gradually increasing the pressure.

"I'm in a hurry. I believe you will tell me."

A trace of a smile appeared at the corners of Taro's mouth as he looked at the pirate next to the "Big Eater."

"Right?"

That pirate was scared into a cold sweat by Taro's cold gaze. Seeing his Captain squirming and struggling due to suffocation, how could he dare hesitate?

"The opposite shore! They went to the other side of the island. Our ship is there!"

Taro nodded in satisfaction, withdrew his hand, wiped the soot from his hand onto Jewelry Bonney's neck, and then stood up.

"Very good. I like smart people like you!"

Having said that, Taro no longer hesitated, took flight, and gave chase.

He wasn't sure if Akainu would follow. In any case, Akainu didn't pursue in the original story, so Taro didn't want to say more to Akainu to avoid wasting time.

The coast on the other side of Flame Island was already in sight. Blackbeard gave a shout.

"Zehahahaha! Guys, fate always favors us. Leaving this ship behind was indeed a wise choice!"

"Zehahahaha... hic!"

Blackbeard's laughter came to an abrupt halt. Taro's figure dove down from the sky, breaking the sound barrier and emitting a soul-stirring shriek.

Boom!

Taro landed heavily not far from the side of the Blackbeard Pirates.

"Hey, Blackbeard, weren't we trading for a warship? Why are you running so fast? Where are you going?"
