Drei is looking at Aeolous. The air from the ground stops and all the swords drop. Aeolous summons more blood to make the swords fly again, then rises with the air.
When Drei sees this, he summons more Scarlet Thread. He throws it across the street and jumps onto one, using it to enter a sword dojo. Aeolous leads the swords toward the dojo, but when he tries to call them back, they do not return. He goes down himself.
When he looks inside, no one is there. All the swords are stuck in a wooden dummy.
Then he sees Drei outside, jumping across Scarlet Threads toward the skyscrapers. Aeolous pulls the swords free and follows him.
"Fall Explode."
Aeolous drops to the ground. When he lands, an explosion launches him back into the sky. As he begins to fall again, another explosion triggers.
In Drei's mind, he thinks, I should have listened to Ardent when he told me to train my stamina like Kael and Nixxin did in the mountains. I am running out. If only this thread did not have a range limit.
He lands near a skyscraper, enters it, and jumps again. He reaches the elevator and heads down to the deepest level. When he arrives, there are many cars. He opens several, then gets into one near the elevator.
The elevator opens. A man steps out, and Drei rams the car into him. The car stops.
It is Kael.
"Motherfucker! What the hell are you doing in my lane?" Drei shouts as Kael lifts the car.
Kael drops it. "I was just checking if you were okay. I heard a loud noise."
Drei forces the door open and steps out. "What about your lane?"
Kael listens to the elevator. "I already won mine. Nixxin too. He is going to help Oniu."
Kael senses someone above. Drei runs toward the darker part of the underground and throws a walkie talkie to Kael.
"Do not destroy this place while I am still here."
Aeolous descends and stares at Kael. "Where is Drei?"
The walkie talkie crackles. "Kael! Hold it."
When Kael sees the hundreds of swords, he already knows what to do. He summons the Depraved Gate of Invidia and opens it.
"Ignore."
For three minutes, Kael is invincible.
Kael pulls out a steering wheel and throws a car at Aeolous. Aeolous pushes it away with air. Kael kicks the car, punching a hole through it, but swords wait behind it.
It does not matter.
Kael kicks the swords aside. Even if he does not hit Aeolous, he keeps hold of the steering wheel. He traps Aeolous' neck in it and throws him.
"I will be your Drei."
Aeolous gets up. What? Can he not feel pain?
Kael rushes forward. Aeolous lifts swords with the wind to strike from behind, but Kael kicks a car to block them.
Aeolous smiles as Kael closes in. He is not really falling. He is holding himself up with air. Then he releases it.
An explosion erupts.
Aeolous kicks Kael in the right arm, breaking his humerus. Using the air, he spins and kicks sideways. Kael blocks with his arm, but both his radius and ulna break.
Kael drives his foot into the ground to avoid being thrown too far.
Aeolous lands. "You are a close combat fighter. You are at a disadvantage. Surrender now."
Kael may be invincible, but it only works against magic and projectiles. Aeolous has already figured it out. He is faster than Kael.
Kael needs to heal.
"Ah man, I really need to heal. I thought this skill made me invincible. But I cannot surrender. I already defeated your teammates. I just need to destroy your tower so we can reach your top base."
Aeolous slices the structure above Kael. Cement and cars crash down on him.
"Adrenaline."
Kael regains energy.
Meanwhile, Drei watches from a CCTV room, eating chips. "Holy shit! This is my first time seeing this guy serious."
Kael throws another car and activates a new contract.
"Shield."
He runs forward, hurling cars one after another. Aeolous laughs as he flies, dodging them all.
"May I ask how many times you and my teammates have died?"
Aeolous moves closer. "Did you know today is my first time flying?"
As he approaches, he prepares something hidden.
"Yin and Yang Burst!."
It is a contract formed in both hands while flying. When released, it unleashes a swirling vortex.
Kael is shocked as it tears through everything in front of him. He quickly crosses his arms.
"Shield."
At that moment, Drei rushes out of the CCTV room, sees the attack, and summons a Divine Bull in front of Kael.
The Divine Bull is destroyed instantly.
The nine shield barriers shatter.
Kael's limbs vanish.
"This is the most pain I have ever felt. This is worse than death."
Aeolous lifts Kael with his swords and pins him to a wall.
"If this were not a game, I wonder how Drei would react."
Before Kael turns into light, he speaks.
"Void Sea."
