The sixth day was reserved entirely for recovery.
After the devastation caused by Sol, the Princes had little choice but to put aside their differences and allow themselves time to recuperate. Their injuries were severe, and even those who had escaped relatively unharmed needed time to restore their depleted demonic force.
Meanwhile, the people of the Imperial Capital had a much more difficult task ahead of them.
They had to rebuild what they had lost.
Entire districts had been reduced to rubble. Streets that once bustled with merchants and pedestrians were now filled with broken stones, twisted metal and the remains of collapsed buildings. Thousands of workers, soldiers and surviving residents were mobilised to clear the debris and recover whatever could be salvaged.
The Imperial Treasury also announced the postponement of the scheduled auctions. There were more pressing matters to attend to.
