Chapter 16 - Another Day of the Same Life

Another day began, and Tiger followed his usual routine again. While walking toward school, he couldn't stop thinking about yesterday's dream.

Will that God show me something about my future?

Tiger suddenly stopped himself from overthinking.

"Of course I'll see that God again eventually. Whatever it is... I can't keep thinking about it."

When Tiger arrived at school, he briefly felt as if someone was watching him from far away. He looked around but couldn't see anyone, so he simply ignored the feeling.

Later, Tiger's trainer approached him and asked, "Tiger! How is your training going?"

"It's going well, sir," Tiger replied.

"Is that so? Then let's practically see whether that's true or false," his trainer said.

He pointed toward a target in the distance. "Can you see that target?"

"Yeah, but it looks around forty or fifty meters away from here," Tiger answered.

His trainer grabbed Tiger by the shoulder and moved him farther back. A red line was marked on the ground.

Tiger looked down and noticed the distance written beside it.

72 meters.

"Sir, isn't this a little too far?" Tiger asked.

"Yes, exactly seventy-two meters. You were the one who said your practice was going well, weren't you?" his trainer replied.

"Okay, okay, sir. I'll do it," Tiger said.

Before Tiger could continue speaking, his trainer handed him a bow and arrow.

Tiger carefully checked the bow's flexibility, making sure nothing would break. After that, he took an arrow and prepared to shoot.

Just as he was about to fire, his foot suddenly slipped.

Tiger immediately regained his balance.

He focused again and prepared to release the arrow.

"Wait!" his trainer suddenly shouted.

Tiger stopped immediately. "What happened, sir?"

His trainer suddenly rushed toward Tiger at incredible speed.

Something seemed to be approaching Tiger from behind.

His trainer caught it before it could reach him.

Tiger looked closer.

It was a small brown teddy bear.

The trainer pressed it against the ground, and suddenly the teddy caught fire. Some nearby grass briefly caught fire as well, but the flames quickly disappeared.

"Sir... how did that teddy suddenly catch fire?" Tiger asked.

"When I touched it, my fire powers affected it," his trainer answered.

The trainer looked around angrily, trying to sense something unusual.

But he couldn't sense anything.

"You can continue your archery now," his trainer said more softly. "I'll make sure nothing happens to you."

Tiger picked up the bow again.

But suddenly, an extremely powerful wind began blowing directly toward him.

The wind was so strong that it affected Tiger's position and even changed his direction.

His trainer stepped forward.

Surprisingly, the wind didn't affect him at all.

"Sir... why isn't this wind affecting you?" Tiger asked.

"Just stay quiet for now," his trainer replied angrily.

Suddenly, something flew toward Tiger.

It was the same teddy bear.

Tiger immediately jumped forward and caught it in midair before it could fall. However, the powerful wind changed his position while he was in the air.

Tiger managed to land safely.

His trainer stared at the teddy.

The same teddy... with the same mark. How is that possible?

A few moments later, the wind suddenly stopped.

His trainer immediately looked at Tiger.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm completely fine. But sir, your power is amazing. You didn't even move during that strong wind—"

"Just stay quiet," his trainer interrupted.

He silently looked at Tiger.

His awakening hasn't happened yet. That's why he keeps saying things like this... You're stronger than me, Tiger. And I want you to become even stronger than I am.

After a moment, his trainer sighed.

"Forget it. Today hasn't gone well. We'll practice another day. It's already evening, so you should go home."

Tiger nodded and left the school.

The teddy bear was still with him.

For some reason, Tiger felt that he shouldn't tell anyone about it.

As he continued walking home, Tiger sighed.

"Tomorrow, I have to meet Rigarta..."

He looked ahead quietly.

"What else can I even say?"
