Chapter 74 - Chapter 74: After the End

The world didn't call him anymore.

No distant pull.

No hidden signal.

No unseen force guiding his steps.

For the first time since everything began—

There was nothing waiting.

Harold stood still on the quiet plain, the air calm around him.

Not because the world had settled—

But because it no longer needed to react to him.

Inside—

Everything was different.

The system was still there.

The Titans were still present.

But their presence had changed.

The Monkey King stretched lazily.

"…So this is it?"

The Devourer rumbled softly.

"No further consumption required."

Unity pulsed in perfect rhythm.

"Balance… complete."

The Counter-Sovereign whispered,

"No external directives."

Harold closed his eyes briefly.

They weren't guiding him anymore.

They were part of him.

Storm walked in a slow circle around him.

"…You're really just standing there like nothing happened?"

Harold opened his eyes.

"…Something did happen."

Storm raised an eyebrow.

"…Yeah? Because from here it just looks like you took a walk and came back stronger again."

Frost stepped closer, observing more carefully.

"…No."

A pause.

"…It's not just strength."

Harold didn't explain.

Not because he couldn't—

But because there wasn't a simple way to say it.

He wasn't chasing anything anymore.

And that alone—

Changed everything.

The wind passed gently through the empty land.

Storm crossed his arms.

"…So what now?"

It was a simple question.

But for the first time—

It didn't have an automatic answer.

No next Titan.

No next door.

No next fight waiting.

Just—

Choice.

Harold looked toward the horizon.

"…We go back."

Storm blinked.

"…Back?"

Frost nodded slowly.

"…The Academy."

Harold stepped forward.

Not in a rush.

Not driven by urgency.

Just moving.

Because now—

He chose to.

Far away—

The Sovereign Council felt it.

Not a surge.

Not a breakthrough.

A silence.

The Dragon Sovereign frowned.

"…He's stopped."

The Sea Sovereign's gaze sharpened.

"…No."

A pause.

"He's stabilized."

The Thread Sovereign's threads slowed.

"…All signals… aligned."

The Balance Sovereign spoke softly.

"…He completed it."

Silence filled the hall.

Even the Sky Sovereign didn't speak immediately.

Because they all understood what that meant.

Not potential.

Not growth.

Completion.

The Earth Titan rumbled.

"…Then he is a threat."

The Dragon Sovereign stood slightly.

"…We should have acted earlier."

The Sea Sovereign didn't move.

"…And now?"

A pause.

No one answered immediately.

Because the truth was clear.

They didn't know.

Back in the world—

Harold walked ahead, Storm and Frost following behind him.

Storm kicked a small rock as they moved.

"…Feels weird."

Frost glanced at him.

"…What does?"

Storm shrugged.

"…No chaos. No crazy fights. No giant monsters trying to kill us."

A pause.

"…Kinda boring."

The Monkey King immediately responded inside Harold.

"Hey, I agree with that."

Harold smirked slightly.

"…It won't stay like that."

Frost's eyes narrowed.

"…You think something's coming?"

Harold didn't slow.

"…No."

A pause.

"I know it is."

The wind shifted slightly.

Not violently.

Just enough to remind them—

The world hadn't stopped.

It had only paused.

Far above—

Clouds moved in a slow, unnatural pattern.

Far below—

Something deep beneath the earth stirred faintly.

Far away—

Eyes that had been watching…

Didn't look away.

Because now—

Harold wasn't just growing.

He had arrived.

And when something reaches the end of one path—

It doesn't stop.

It becomes the start of something else.

Harold's gaze remained forward.

Calm.

Certain.

"…Let them come."
