Jayjay's POV
The game of Truth or Dare was over, but the air around us was heavy. David's "joke" still echoed in my mind, and I couldn't stop thinking about the look on his face before he laughed.
Yuri leaned back with a grin. "See? Even David knows how to play. Unlike Keifer, who takes everything too seriously."
Keifer's jaw tightened. "At least I don't hide behind jokes. Unlike some people."
The tension rose quickly. Yuri smirked, Josh tried to joke to calm things down, and Cin added playful comments that only made Keifer angrier. Voices grew louder, and soon the circle broke apart into shouting.
I sat quietly, my chest tight. Why does it always end like this? Why do they keep fighting over me like I'm some prize?
David's POV
I stayed silent, watching the fight unfold. Yuri and Keifer were at it again, their rivalry burning hotter than the fire in front of us.
Jayjay looked uncomfortable, her eyes darting nervously. I wanted to step in, but I knew it would only make things worse. So I stayed close, ready if she needed me.
Keifer's POV
Yuri's smirk made me furious. He always wanted to prove he was better, always wanted to show Jayjay he could win.
I glared at him. "Stop pretending you care about her. You only care about beating me."
Yuri's POV
Keifer's anger was almost funny. He hated losing, and I loved watching him squirm.
But when I glanced at Jayjay, she didn't look amused. She looked trapped. For a second, I wondered if maybe we were both wrong.
Josh's POV
I tried to lighten the mood. "Guys, chill! We're supposed to be bonding, not breaking bones." But no one listened.
Cin's POV
I laughed at first, throwing in jokes, but the fight got too serious. The fun was gone, and Jayjay looked upset.
Jayjay's POV
The shouting grew louder, and I felt smaller in the noise. My chest hurt. I'm not a trophy. I'm not something to win. Why can't they see that?
Then a voice cut through everything.
Sir Alvin's POV
"Enough!" My voice echoed across the retreat grounds.
The boys froze. I stepped forward, firm and sharp. "This is not why we are here. You are supposed to learn discipline, not fight like children."
I separated Keifer and Yuri, forcing space between them. "You will stop this nonsense now. Tomorrow morning, all of you will report to the activity hall at 8:00 a.m. sharp. We have activities planned. Rest tonight."
The fire crackled in the silence that followed. Slowly, Section E settled down. The fight was over—for now.
Jayjay's POV
Relief washed over me as the noise faded. One by one, everyone drifted to their sleeping spots. The night grew quiet again, but my mind wasn't.
David's words, his face, his laugh—they stayed with me. And I knew tomorrow would bring more questions.
