Chapter 179 - Is Ning Feng the True Executor of the Eye of the Moon Plan?

"Uchiha Feng has arrived…"

Inside Yagura's residence, Uchiha Obito was meditating when a pitcher plant–like creature emerged from the ground and reported in a low voice.

"He's here?"

Obito was somewhat surprised.

He hadn't expected that after the Night of the Nine-Tails, Uchiha Feng would still refuse to let him go.

"This time, it's not about the Nine-Tails."

Black Zetsu seemed to see through Obito's thoughts and interrupted, "He's most likely here because our forces injured Nagato."

"Injured Nagato?"

Obito was completely taken aback.

What was going on?

How had Nagato ended up being attacked?

Wasn't he supposed to be staying quietly in the Hidden Rain Village?

"Nagato has been digging up the graves of powerful shinobi across the ninja world… I suspect Uchiha Feng is planning something again."

Black Zetsu spoke with a grave expression.

Having lived for a thousand years, he had seen countless geniuses and warlords.

But someone like Ning Feng—powerful, unpredictable, and repeatedly achieving the impossible—

This time, Nagato's large-scale grave excavation must mean that Uchiha Feng was secretly preparing something new.

"Damn it…"

Obito cursed under his breath.

He had no desire to clash with Ning Feng right now.

Their last encounter had been during the Night of the Nine-Tails in Konoha.

Though brief, he knew clearly—he was no match for Uchiha Feng.

In fact, without the unique ability of Kamui, he might not even have been able to contend with him at all.

That terrifying combination of ninjutsu and taijutsu…

Obito's face twisted beneath his mask.

"Let's go. Since things have escalated to this point, there's no way to resolve it simply."

At the same time, Obito inwardly cursed the Hidden Mist's shinobi forces for being so rigid!

With the Hidden Rain Village's current growth, it was already approaching Konoha in strength.

At a time like this, they could have just issued a warning to a Rain shinobi.

But instead, they chased him to the brink of death—giving Uchiha Feng a perfect excuse to act against Kirigakure!

Meanwhile, Ning Feng had already infiltrated the Hidden Mist Village with the now-recovered Nagato.

After making simple efforts to cover their tracks, Ning Feng didn't bother hiding too thoroughly.

He knew Black Zetsu had likely already noticed something unusual.

Which meant Obito would soon confront him.

So in truth, he could simply lie low within Kirigakure and wait.

But was silently enduring an attack his style?

This time, Ning Feng had brought Nagato into the Hidden Mist Village for one purpose—

The Seven Ninja Swords.

"How did the scouting go?"

To avoid attention, Ning Feng and Nagato stayed in a dilapidated wooden house on the outskirts of the village.

The place looked long abandoned—the former owner had likely died in some distant land.

"The Hidden Rain's infiltrators in Kirigakure don't hold high positions… but we can confirm that the Mizukage has ordered all jonin and above to abandon their missions and return to the village."

Nagato frowned, a cold glint flashing through his Rinnegan.

"It's likely they've discovered those missing squads. Worst case, the Mizukage already knows you've arrived, Lord Feng."

"Otherwise, they wouldn't be mobilizing forces on such a large scale."

Nagato knew full well the level of deterrence Ning Feng carried.

Among the Five Great Nations, all but the Land of Water had either allied with or been intimidated by him.

The Mizukage must also harbor deep fear because of Ning Feng's past actions.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have recalled so many shinobi in advance.

"Lord Feng… should we still proceed?"

Ning Feng let out a cold laugh.

"Proceed? Why wouldn't we?"

"Do you really think those scraps in Kirigakure can stop us?"

As he spoke, Ning Feng stood up, radiating confidence.

"When they've all gathered, wouldn't it be perfect to wipe them out in one go?"

Leaders of other villages had to consider their village's interests.

So after witnessing Ning Feng's power to destroy them, they chose compromise.

But—

The Mizukage of the Land of Water was under Obito's control.

Which meant… he didn't care about the village's well-being at all.

The only solution was to kill until it hurt Obito himself!

And settle the score from the Nine-Tails incident while he was at it!

"Have the orders been delivered to the elite jonin on external missions?"

Inside the Mizukage's office, the newly appointed Fifth Mizukage, Hōzuki Zangetsu, asked sternly.

Since the Night of the Nine-Tails, when the Seven Ninja Swordsmen and Yagura were reduced to ashes by Ning Feng…

Obito had quietly retrieved the swords and later selected new wielders and a new Mizukage within Kirigakure.

"Reporting to the Mizukage—most elite jonin are already on their way back. A small number have returned and are awaiting your command. However, abandoning missions has caused significant financial losses for the village…"

"That's insignificant!"

Zangetsu impatiently cut him off.

Did Obito, who controlled Zangetsu, not know the cost of this decision?

But the situation was urgent.

Uchiha Feng's arrival in Kirigakure could only mean trouble.

Yet several days had passed without any movement—making him increasingly uneasy.

"What about the Seven Ninja Swordsmen?"

Suddenly thinking of something, he quickly asked.

"The Seven Ninja Swordsmen have all returned to the village."

"Good."

Zangetsu nodded slightly.

Obito understood the power those seven could wield.

This increased their chances against Uchiha Feng.

But he also knew clearly—even that wasn't enough.

If they could somehow take Uchiha Feng hostage…

The Eye of the Moon Plan could be halfway complete!

After all, the plan required gathering the tailed beasts.

And what Ning Feng was currently doing aligned perfectly with that goal.

In fact… Ning Feng's efficiency far surpassed his own.

At this thought, Obito cast a suspicious glance at the White Zetsu beside him.

Could it be…

That the young Uchiha clan prodigy was the true inheritor of Uchiha Madara's will?

Was he the fake successor instead?

Why was there such a massive gap between two members of the same clan?

And more importantly—

Why did Uchiha Feng seem even more suited to executing the Eye of the Moon Plan than he was?
