Inside the trunk, in the spacious dining area.

A long table was laden with mouth-watering fish dishes: golden, crispy pan-fried salmon steaks; creamy, fragrant fish head tofu soup; tender steamed cod; sour and spicy fish slices; and several new fish dishes Dodo had tried.

Lynn and Edgar were feasting without a care for their appearances, their mouths greasy, all while using their mobile phones to frantically take pictures of the full table of delicacies and each other's stuffed cheeks, planning to "accurately deliver" them to William and Ollie later.

Dodo sat quietly to the side, dressed in neat and proper attire with a tea towel draped over him, his movements meticulous. Using a knife and fork, he unhurriedly cut pieces of fish into uniformly sized cubes before placing them into his mouth, his dining etiquette impeccable.

"Master has really improved today, actually managing to catch fish instead of pondering the philosophy of life over an empty bucket. Dodo is relieved."

The chopsticks reaching for the fried fish steak suddenly halted, and the smile on Lynn's face instantly froze.

He slowly turned his head, staring at Dodo's expressionless face…

If you didn't mention my failed fishing, we could still be a master and servant who get along happily.

Caw-caw!

A burst of gold-red flames erupted beside the dining table!

Levi's figure appeared within the flames, filled with urgency.

"Master! Ollie is in danger! Location locked!"

"Let's go!"

Lynn didn't hesitate for a second.

He shot up, not even having time to explain to Edgar, whose mouth was stuffed with food and who wore a bewildered expression. He stepped over to Levi's side in a single stride, placing a hand on its burning wing.

Caw-caw—!

Another, more intense flash of fire erupted, and Lynn and Levi instantly vanished from inside the trunk, leaving behind a dumbfounded Edgar and Dodo, who continued eating unhurriedly…

Ollie's home, inside the wardrobe.

Ollie and Mr. Thorne huddled tightly together. The phoenix feather clenched in Ollie's hand grew hotter and hotter.

Suddenly—

Caw-caw!

A ball of gold-red flames exploded without warning in the narrow space! Mr. Thorne was so startled he nearly fired a spell at it.

The flames receded, revealing Lynn's figure, with Levi perched on his shoulder, scanning the surroundings.

The trio—and the phoenix—stared wide-eyed at each other in the incredibly cramped, enclosed space.

"Good evening, Mr. Thorne. What happened here? Levi told me you were in danger," Lynn asked.

Mr. Thorne was too shocked to speak.

The reinforcement his son had called for… was his classmate? A boy who looked about thirteen or fourteen? And that bird on the boy's shoulder… could that possibly be a phoenix?! What are they teaching at Hogwarts these days? Students are being issued phoenixes?!

"There are werewolves outside! A lot! Be careful!" Ollie found his voice faster than his father, answering succinctly.

"Understood." Lynn nodded. He patted Levi on the shoulder. "Levi, stay here and protect them. I'll go out and see what's going on."

Ollie wasted no time, immediately using the brass key to open the cabinet door again.

Lynn slipped out, gently pulling the cabinet door shut behind him.

Before him was Ollie's familiar bedroom, but the air was thick with a foul, musky smell and the dust of destruction.

Furniture was overturned, curtains torn, and moonlight poured in through the shattered window.

Almost the instant he appeared, a low growl came from the bedroom doorway!

A shadowy figure of a werewolf, its fur bristling, bared its teeth, drool dripping, its eyes fixed on Lynn. Then it pushed off with its legs, lunging at him with a foul-smelling gust of wind!

Lynn nimbly dodged to the side and back.

The werewolf's confident lunge completely missed, its body brushing past Lynn's clothes before crashing heavily into the wall behind with a dull thud.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Lynn's wand was already in hand. He turned, and a blinding green light erupted in the dim bedroom, striking the werewolf squarely in the chest.

The werewolf fell without even a scream, stirring up a cloud of dust.

The battle ended as swiftly as lightning.

Lynn frowned and stepped forward, wanting to confirm.

By the moonlight, he saw the werewolf's appearance clearly. Then his gaze fell on a distinct, hideous scar on its chest.

Lynn remembered.

The Forbidden Forest. A full moon. Hagrid's giant crossbow bolt that had almost pinned it to a tree.

This was that captured werewolf that had escaped.

The sound of more heavy footsteps and threatening growls was already coming from the hallway outside the door.

"Awoo—!"

More werewolves had heard the commotion and were gathering quickly.

Lynn decided not to leave.

He leisurely retreated to the relatively open center of the bedroom, waiting quietly.

Bang!

The first werewolf charged in, knocking the half-open door aside.

Green light flashed again.

"Avada Kedavra."

It fell.

Crash!

The second werewolf smashed through the doorframe to squeeze in.

Lynn's wand traced an arc.

"Sectumsempra!"

A blade of air swept past. The werewolf's massive head instantly separated from its body, blood spraying as the headless corpse collapsed heavily.

The third, the fourth, the fifth…

Lynn dealt with each werewolf that forced its way into the bedroom.

In less than two minutes, five werewolf corpses lay scattered across Ollie's bedroom, the thick smell of blood nauseating.

Lynn wrinkled his nose and flicked his wand.

Fiendfyre surged from his wand tip, precisely covering each werewolf corpse.

The flames burned fiercely. Flesh, bones, and fur rapidly carbonized and disintegrated in the intense heat, emitting faint crackling sounds, but igniting nothing else.

Within a few breaths, only five small piles of ashes remained on the floor.

Lynn looked at those ashes, his gaze indifferent.

"Next life… if there is one, be more careful. Don't provoke people you shouldn't."

As soon as the words left his mouth—

Crack!

A flash of fire.

A figure stepped out from the flames, with silver hair and a long beard. Eyes behind half-moon spectacles swept over the devastated bedroom, finally landing on Lynn and the fresh piles of ashes at his feet.

Dumbledore had arrived.

Fawkes perched on his shoulder.

The old headmaster glanced at the ashes, then at the composed Lynn, a complex expression appearing on his face.

"Burned… again?" Dumbledore's voice was gentle, but the slight rise in inflection showed he wasn't really asking.

Lynn stood up from the chair, his attitude obedient.

"Good evening, Headmaster. Yes, burned."

He answered as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Dumbledore was silent for a moment. He gave a gentle wave of his wand.

"Scourgify!"

A gust of wind swirled up, sucking away all the ashes on the floor. The bedroom was instantly restored to pristine cleanliness, leaving only the damaged furniture and window as proof of the recent carnage.

Lynn: "…"

He was momentarily speechless.

Headmaster… aren't you a bit too proficient at this?

"Ollie and his father…" Dumbledore looked toward the closed wardrobe.

"They're safe, inside the cabinet," Lynn answered first, pointing at it.

Dumbledore's gaze returned to Lynn.

He gave a slight nod.

"Good… well done, Lynn. Quick reaction. There are still two werewolves causing chaos in the nearby streets. The Aurors are surrounding them. You… stay right here. Don't go anywhere. Be careful."

Having said that, Dumbledore didn't linger. With Fawkes, his figure vanished in a burst of flame.

Lynn looked at the empty bedroom, blinked, and then a trace of regret slowly surfaced on his face.

There were still two?!

If only he hadn't waited passively in the room earlier—he should have gone out to look for them!

Now look—he left survivors!

Lynn scratched his head in annoyance.

This is really unacceptable! You must eradicate evil completely, Lynn! Where is your resolve?!

He sighed, walked to the wardrobe, and knocked on the door.

"Ollie, Mr. Thorne, it's safe. You can come out. The Headmaster has been here. The remaining werewolves will be handled by the Aurors."

The cabinet door opened.

Ollie and Mr. Thorne, both still looking utterly shocked, stepped out.

Looking at the bedroom—now devoid of "people"—and at Lynn, who was completely unharmed, just looking slightly frustrated, Mr. Thorne opened his mouth, then finally let out a long sigh filled with complicated emotions.

What a mess this all is.
