Standing by the window, looking at the dilapidated city outside, Elysia pursed her lips, then took a deep breath.
From now on, she would start her new life here, and even if it was a dream, she would make it perfect.
First, she would wait for the Schicksal rescue personnel to arrive.
Elysia turned her head to look at the computer; she had just felt that her post had been seen.
And according to the data flow, the person who saw it had forwarded the post to others.
Although she didn't know how she knew, her intuition told her so.
Although she didn't know how long it would take for the rescue personnel to arrive, she should tidy up the apartment first. At the very least, it shouldn't look like no one had lived here for a while; she needed to make it look lived-in.
The bedroom for sleeping needed a thorough cleaning; at the very least, it shouldn't have so much dust.
The rooms outside the bedroom just needed a rough tidying, as long as there were some traces of human life.
Finally, she needed to slightly modify various data.
Thinking of this, Elysia sat back down in front of the computer. She needed to forge some living records; at the very least, there had to be traces. She couldn't live here alone without leaving any signs.
After confirming there were no obvious flaws, Elysia breathed a sigh of relief.
This way, no one would suspect her, a cute and beautiful girl, right ♬ ~
She hadn't felt hunger in the previous enclosed space, but now that she was out, she could feel a slight hunger. No, she could feel some hunger, but it wasn't very strong. Was it because she simply wanted to eat something?
Acting on her thoughts, Miss Elysia left the bedroom and entered the kitchen. After opening the refrigerator, she began to check what was still edible.
After a thorough check, there were still quite a few edible ingredients in the refrigerator, but most of the vegetables were no longer good. Looking at the cabbage in her hand, whose leaves were yellow and even a bit dry, after peeling off the outer layers, there were still edible parts inside.
She picked through the refrigerator, clearing out all the inedible items. These would be thrown away later, as she had lived in this place for at least one to two weeks, and there shouldn't be any spoiled food in the refrigerator.
She checked the noodles and rice in the cupboard. Fortunately, they were all in jars and looked fine.
She simply steamed some rice and stir-fried a portion of cabbage.
Then she carried her meal and ate it while leaning on the windowsill.
If the Honkai hadn't occurred, this apartment would indeed be a very good place to live.
The floor wasn't the highest, but it still received sunlight every day. Looking down from the window, she could also see the commercial street and supermarket.
Confirmed: this was a house that her original self couldn't afford even after working her whole life!
From upstairs, she could see some Death Soldier wandering the streets. These ordinary Death Soldier didn't have weapons, unlike the Scythe Witches or Honkai Beasts she knew from the game. If she had to describe them, they were like humans covered in irregular purple lines, with women making up the majority. Where the male versions of advanced Death Soldier were was truly an unsolved mystery.
There were also battles among the Death Soldier. Elysia saw two Death Soldier, who were originally wandering normally, suddenly turn and charge at each other, using their bodies to attack each other to the maximum extent until the opponent was incapacitated and turned into a pile of white matter that crumbled upon touch. The victorious Death Soldier' original injuries healed rapidly after the opponent's death, like they had been injected with hormones, and their clothes also recovered? Wait, how did the clothes recover??
She shook her head to clear her mind of what she was thinking.
Elysia didn't know how to describe what she was seeing. She was clearly human, probably? Maybe? She had expected to feel some psychological discomfort seeing these things, but she didn't. She was just watching the street drama as if it were entertainment.
After tidying up her eating utensils, Elysia picked up the trash, intending to go out and dispose of it. When she reached the door, Elysia rummaged through the storage compartment hanging behind the door, found the door key (and immediately tried it in the door after finding it), and then took the key and left.
She walked to the elevator and pressed the button. The elevator quickly arrived at Elysia's floor. She carried the trash into the elevator, pressed the first-floor button, and waited for the elevator to move.
The elevator quickly reached the first floor. As the elevator doors opened, Elysia immediately saw a Death Soldier pouncing at her. Because she usually liked to lean against the innermost railing when taking the elevator, it gave Elysia some reaction time.
Startled, Elysia instinctively kicked out. The kick landed on the Death Soldier' abdomen.
The Death Soldier immediately turned into a < and flew out of the elevator, hitting the wall.
Elysia, realizing what had happened, stared blankly as the Death Soldier outside the elevator slowly turned into white dust.
What's going on? Am I not an Herrscher of Corruption? Why did this Death Soldier attack me?
Elysia only snapped out of it when the elevator doors were about to close, quickly stepping out of the elevator.
After exiting the elevator, Elysia was still pondering these questions. Could it be that she was a fake Erosion? Although her abilities weren't complete, they were indeed the abilities of Corruption. Besides the original Corruption being data and her having her own body, there didn't seem to be any difference, right? Or was this Death Soldier an exception?
To determine whether it was her problem or the Death Soldier' problem, Elysia decided to go out and find another Death Soldier to test. Based on her kick just now, her body seemed quite strong.
Having decided what to do, Elysia, to be safe, directly used her ability to infiltrate the surrounding surveillance cameras. After confirming there were no other Death Soldier in front of the building, she confidently walked out of the building.
She casually tossed the trash in her hand into a trash can, then began to look for a lone Death Soldier. She wanted to test whether these Death Soldier would actively attack her.
She could only say that it was truly great that she could still use the surveillance cameras in the vicinity.
Elysia followed the surrounding network, infiltrating one camera after another, and finally found a lone Death Soldier in the residential area that she could safely approach.
After many twists and turns, she finally saw the lone Death Soldier in front of a small alley. Although she didn't know why it was in this location, it was truly great that it was in such a secluded place with no other Death Soldier around.
This way, she could see what was going on with her and try out other uses for her abilities.
