"Beg me," I said, and Caelum's body jerked.
He looked at me with that scattered and messed-up expression on his face.
"If you beg me," I purred, looking him dead in the eye, "I might just decide to be 'good' to you. I might even help you forget that little rabbit ever existed."
He let out a ragged breath and then dropped his forehead to rest against mine.
He was defeated, and I could feel it.
"Please," he rasped, the word sounding like it was being torn from his throat. But the words that came next were rather harsh. "Lyssa... just... shut up and let me have you."
"Be polite when you beg," I said. "Beg me like you mean it."
The great first son of the House Valerius, reduced to a beggar on his very own bed, towards a woman he had very much despised a few hours back.
"Lyssa, please…" he gripped my arm tight, his face contorting as it felt like he could no longer stay sane. "Let me have you."
