Chapter 2 - Judgment of the Heavens

High above the clouds, beyond the sight of mortals and immortals, the Divine Assembly gathered in silence.

A vast golden platform floated in the endless sky. Twelve thrones formed a circle, each radiating terrifying divine power. At the center stood a long pillar carved with ancient runes — the symbol of heavenly authority.

One by one, figures appeared upon the thrones.

Aurelion, God of Light, sat first. His golden armor shone like a small sun, his expression calm yet heavy.Beside him formed a figure surrounded by blue mist — Seraphae, Goddess of Fate, her silver eyes filled with calculation.A tall, heavily built man carrying a spear of thunder took another seat — Vorgath, God of War.A woman with emerald robes and flowing green hair followed — Lysera, Goddess of Life. Then came Nyxaris, God of Shadows, his presence almost invisible even among gods.Flames erupted briefly as Ignivar, God of Flame, appeared with a bored expression.Others followed until all twelve divine thrones were occupied.

Silence filled the assembly.

Finally, Aurelion spoke.

"We all know why we are here."

His voice echoed across the heavens.

Vorgath leaned forward, gripping his spear."Then stop speaking in riddles. We are here because of him."

No one needed to ask who.

Even saying the title aloud felt heavy.

Seraphae closed her eyes briefly."Balance has been maintained for thousands of years under his watch. Removing him will change the order of the world."

Ignivar scoffed. "Order? You call this order? We are gods, yet we live under the shadow of an executioner. One mistake, one action he dislikes, and he appears."

Lysera spoke softly but firmly. "He only acts when balance is broken. Many of us have crossed that line before."

Vorgath slammed the base of his spear against the floor, creating a deep echo."That is exactly the problem. A being capable of killing gods should not exist."

Nyxaris finally spoke from the shadows."Fear… is the true reason we are here."

The word lingered.

No one denied it.

Aurelion's expression hardened."The God Killer was created to maintain balance. But his existence itself has become an imbalance."

Seraphae slowly opened her silver eyes.

"I have observed countless future paths," she said quietly. "In more than half of them… he eventually turns his judgment toward the heavens."

A tense silence followed.

Ignivar leaned back. "So it's decided then. We eliminate him before that future arrives."

Lysera frowned. "He has maintained peace between mortals, immortals, and gods for ages. Without him, chaos may rise."

"Then we will control the chaos," Vorgath replied coldly. "Better chaos under our rule than living under the threat of execution."

Aurelion stood from his throne.

Golden light spread across the platform as his voice became absolute.

"The decision of the Divine Assembly has been made."

All eyes turned toward him.

"The God Killer… will be erased."

A faint tremor passed through the heavens, as if the world itself reacted to those words.

Seraphae spoke one final time, her voice softer than before.

"…He will not surrender easily."

Vorgath gave a grim smile.

"That is why all of us will go."

One by one, divine weapons materialized in the hands of the gods. Spears of lightning, blades of light, flames capable of burning space itself. Their combined presence caused the sky to crack with pressure.

For the first time in history—

All gods prepared for war against a single being.

Far away, beyond the edge of the divine realm, on a silent floating land covered in black mist, a lone figure stood beneath a dark sky.

He slowly opened his eyes.

Before him lay countless extinguished stars.

He exhaled calmly, already aware of what was coming.

"…So," he murmured quietly,"they have finally decided."

In his hand, a long black scythe formed from shadow and starlight appeared.

The God Killer looked toward the approaching divine presence… and waited.
