Ema's
I slowly opened my eyes, but the world didn't make sense at first. Everything was blurry and out of focus. I blinked a few times, trying to get my vision to clear. I saw bright white sheets and noticed the soft morning light slipping through the gaps in the heavy curtains. The room had a very specific scent. It was the smell of clean fabric mixed with something much darker and more masculine. It smelled like smoke. It smelled like him.
Then, the realization hit me like a physical weight. I wasn't in my own bed. I wasn't in the guest room where I usually stayed. I was in Derek's room.
