Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Keqing’s Emotion — He Stayed Up All Night Studying Medicine for Me… It’s Truly Moving, But… I’d Better Change the Topic

Seeing the change on the page, Li Yan immediately understood what was happening.

It seemed that studying medical knowledge directly affected the records on the book—and those records represented his current medical proficiency.

Although he didn't know how long he had spent reading in that strange space, the change from five to six clearly meant that his medical skills had improved significantly.

Even without treating a single patient, the techniques and understanding he had gained from the book made it obvious: his medical ability had advanced by a large margin.

Now, when it came to many treatments, he had extremely clear diagnostic ideas and solutions.

Compared to before—when he relied more on intuition—this change was profound and unmistakable.

Li Yan felt a surge of excitement.

He realized that both "Advanced Teyvat Medical Techniques" and "Teyvat's Specialized Culinary Guide" had extraordinary effects.

If he continued studying them, his cooking skills might also improve dramatically.

More importantly, just as he had thought earlier, perhaps he could rely on this medical knowledge to restore Keqing to her normal state—by his own hands.

Although Keqing's smaller form was undeniably adorable, and even endearing, he had worked so hard to marry her.

And now, she has turned into a child.

Even if he had thoughts, he couldn't act on them.

That frustration was… real.

Still, no matter what, he wasn't that kind of person.

Clutching the medical book, Li Yan firmly resolved that this would be his main focus from now on.

He had a clear direction.

Even so, for Keqing's sake, he still planned to consult Zhongli the next day.

There were things Zhongli surely understood better than he did.

As he continued thinking, another question surfaced.

He had no idea how much time had actually passed while he was reading in that space.

Just as that thought crossed his mind—

He opened his eyes.

The familiar ceiling came into view, adorned with red wedding decorations.

He was lying on the bed.

And in his hand—

It was "Advanced Teyvat Medical Techniques."

Li Yan realized that with just a thought, he could store the book away. He could also enter that strange space whenever he wished.

All of this felt as natural as memory itself, firmly imprinted in his mind.

Holding the book for a long moment, he murmured softly,

"It feels… like a dream."

"Dear…" Keqing hugged him lightly, her voice soft. "You've worked hard."

Li Yan's heart jumped at her voice.

But when he looked down and saw her small, delicate face, everything steadied again.

From her expression, it was clear she had seen the medical book and assumed he had stayed up all night studying.

Which, in a way, was true.

He had spent a very long time immersed in medical knowledge and had gained far more than he expected.

He gently drew her closer.

"For you, Keqing, it's nothing."

Keqing's face flushed slightly. "Always talking sweetly."

"I'm telling the truth!" Li Yan protested.

She didn't respond.

Li Yan looked at her and leaned closer, gently pressing his forehead against hers in a brief, careful gesture of affection.

He couldn't do anything improper—but even this small closeness eased his heart.

Keqing instinctively raised her hands to stop him, though her strength was minimal.

After a while, Li Yan pulled back and looked into her eyes.

"Being able to marry you is my greatest fortune. Even if something unexpected happened, we'll overcome it together."

"…Mm." Keqing felt conflicted, but after hearing his words, she swallowed what she wanted to say.

He was her husband.

If there were things she couldn't give him right now, then she would make up for it in other ways.

But that kind of thing was absolutely off-limits.

After chatting with Keqing for a while, Li Yan stepped out into the corridor.

The hallway and the estate were still decorated with festive ornaments.

As he looked around, he saw the old steward, Uncle Fu, walking toward him.

Uncle Fu had served Keqing's family for nearly forty years and had practically watched her grow up.

After the wedding, her father had assigned him to continue taking care of her daily life.

"Son-in-law—no, I should call you Master now," Uncle Fu said with a smile, correcting himself.

"Breakfast is ready. You may have it now."

Li Yan nodded. "Alright."

At that moment, movement came from behind him.

Then he heard her voice:

"Dear, these clothes are a bit small now. Later, will you go out with me to buy some new ones?"

"Of course," Li Yan replied.

Uncle Fu froze on the spot.

He rubbed his eyes repeatedly.

"Th-This… What's going on? Miss… young miss?"

They had only been married for one day—

How could there suddenly be a child this big?!
