Chapter 12 - Chapter 11 - Handsome Twins?

When I woke up the next day, I was feeling extremely sick. I'm never drinking again in my life. I've never felt like this before, not even in my old world and body.

Why is this body so weak against alcohol?

I got up and took a cold shower. I thought about going out to eat something, but decided to prepare something at home instead. Since I bought a large amount of eggs and bread, I have to eat them.

The bread is already a bit stale, but I don't mind.

After finishing the preparation, I sat down to eat, and while I was eating, I opened my status to take a look. Once again, I had received a lot of EXP while I slept, since my clones hunt 24 hours a day.

This is my current status:

Name: Zane

Level: 5 (EXP: 10,205 / 16,000)

Clones: 2/2

Strength: 47

Endurance: 34

Agility: 52

Dexterity: 25

Magic: 14

Points: 30

Skills:

Clones EX

Knife Combat LV7

Movement Acceleration LV5

Strength Enhancement LV4

I still haven't reached level six, but that will probably happen today. What caught my attention, however, was how much my strength increased because of the "Strength Enhancement" skill.

It's strange that I don't feel any difference in my body, but when I test my strength, it's clearly much higher. I thought increasing strength would change my body—like my height, muscles, and so on.

But nothing changed.

Then again, my body is practically perfect.

"Ah, speaking of that, I have 30 points to use." Since they only serve to increase my stats, it's better to distribute them now. Hmm… what should I do in this situation?

Increase my strength and agility even more? Raise my endurance?

I feel bothered by having such low magic, but I don't have any magical skills yet.

"Should I put 10 points into magic… for the future?" It's good to increase my magic since it will be very important later on. Alright, I'll do that.

[ Magic +10 ]

[ Magic 14 > 24 ]

With the remaining twenty points, I decided to split them between strength and agility again.

[ Strength +10 ]

[ Agility +10 ]

[ Strength 47 > 61 ]

[ Agility 52 > 67 ]

It's interesting that the skill bonuses take effect immediately. My strength and agility increased by much more than just 10 points. Isn't this a bit too high now? I feel pretty strong.

Unfortunately, I still can't determine exactly what my current level compares to.

Am I at the level of a level one adventurer? Level two?

I don't know what level that guy I killed was, but if I had to guess, he was probably level two. Most likely an average level two. He wasn't anywhere close to reaching level three.

His stats were probably pretty bad.

I put on my hood, grabbed my knife, and then left my house while watching notifications continue to appear in the corner of my vision.

My clones are really doing a good job.

Speaking of that, I need to talk to them to find out which one irritated those guys. I want to know exactly what happened.

'Should I destroy and summon both of them again?'

Come to think of it, I still don't know if the clones keep their memories after being destroyed. This is a good time to run a test.

POV: Third Person

Somewhere on the eighth floor of the dungeon, Clone Number Two had just finished killing a few monsters. As he picked up the magic stone from the ground, he thought, 'The number of monsters here is lower than I expected. There are too many hunters around.'

He realized something: there were a lot of adventurers on that floor.

Many mid-level adventurers hunted on the eighth floor. And the average number of mid-level adventurers is higher than that of weak or strong ones. Most of them are mediocre—and extremely annoying.

At least, that's what Clone Number Two thought.

Whenever he encountered adventurers, they wanted to see his face and asked unnecessary questions. In his view, that was very unpleasant. Ever since he ran into that unknown group, he had been very cautious.

He didn't want to cause trouble again, even if it was by accident.

'Should I go up?' He sighed and thought for a moment.

After some consideration, he decided to go up to the seventh or sixth floor.

He understood the system just as well as his master, so he knew that monsters killed on the eighth floor gave more experience and were technically better. However, if the upper floors had more monsters to kill, that wasn't a problem.

Killing one monster that gives over forty EXP is worse than killing three monsters that give 30 EXP each.

Having made his decision, he headed toward the seventh floor.

On the way, he encountered only one monster before reaching it.

When he arrived on the seventh floor, he smiled in satisfaction.

The number of monsters was indeed higher.

Moreover, he didn't encounter any annoying adventurers. That alone was enough to make him think, 'This was definitely worth it.' He was beginning to feel disgust and anger toward humans who weren't his master.

That could become a problem in the future.

After nearly an hour of hunting on the seventh floor, Clone Number Two was surprised.

"Hm? I didn't expect to find you here," he said after running into Clone Number One.

"I got tired of hunting on the fifth floor. Since you went down, I thought it would be fine for you to do the same."

"But I received permission from the master. You didn't." Clone Number Two smiled, feeling superior.

"I'm sure he won't mind. I am Number One, after all." Clone Number One sounded very confident. He didn't care about what Clone Number Two was saying.

Their master definitely wouldn't be upset.

"I want to hunt here. You should go to the eighth floor."

"Why? You left, didn't you? What happened there?" Clone One asked, confused.

"Nothing happened," Clone Two replied with a smile.

Clone One was suspicious, so he decided not to go down.

"I'll stay here," he said. "I'm leaving. See you later." He lowered his hood to hide more of his face and was about to leave. But before he could, a group of adventurers blocked his path.

It wasn't a group looking for trouble, but rather a group that was curious.

After all, there were two identical people standing there.

And two handsome men.

If they were twins, good-looking, and strong enough to explore that floor alone, why had no one ever heard of them before?
