It was raining in the outskirts of NQSC.
People were trying to cover themselves to escape it, barricading their collapsing homes or just using fabrics…
But in all the chaos, there was a PTV passing, ignoring all the water that was attacking it, together with the jealous eyes that starved for the same protection, some even thinking of ways to get the car for themselfs…
A woman was in the back seat, with social clothing wrapping her, black raven hair complimenting it.
Ki Song- Well, a Puppet of the woman was in the luxurious, albeit subtle vehicle, she wouldn't come to the place with her real body, or what was left of it after her friend killed it, although she made sure the boy reassembled her. After all, the children needed to recognize her when they went with her…
'Why am I here?'
It was the only question on her mind. Why is she doing this, going this far for someone she barely knew? She had already betrayed her best friends, she could ignore this and pretend that she had forgotten.
Yet here she was, going to an orphanage, to see what's left of her… 'old friend's' family…
The PTV stopped and Ki Song was snapped out of her thoughts, the driver, a Master of his own right, opened the door, her bodyguard, not that she needed.
The woman got out, thanking him.
"You can stay, this is something I need to do alone…"
The orphanage was decent in the outcourts standards, it was at least holding itself together, but the woman could care less of the state of the building, she just wanted one thing…
She did the normal procedure of the place, not really paying attention, she already did this 7 times.
All that was on her mind was the past, was the question if this really matters, why was she compelled to do this?
Before she knew it, Ki Song was already outside their room, the attendant long gone, wanting to leave the woman with the child.
Ki Song opened the door.
The room was small, dirty, dark, it only really had two beds and a table. A boy, 5 years old. He was sitting at the left bed, looking at the other bed, the owner was gone. Taken by another family.
The boy looked surprised and alarmed, his black raven hair and onyx eyes sharpened, simply stared, curious.
Ki Song sighed.
'I was too late…'
She sat down on the bed across from him.
"Hello, my name is Ki Song, you are…?"
"Don't you already know my name? You chose to come here, no?"
Ki Song smiled
"Yes, to both questions, but I want to hear from you."
"...I am Sunless"
Ki Song looked at him, remembering his Mother, the impact she left on her, even if it was short…

Sunless looked like he was calculating, thinking, if he can trust her. He was scared.
It was then that Ki Song understood why she came here, why she couldn't ignore her promise, seeing his face, thinking what would happen if she just left them here…
After everything, losing her mother, failing to protect Smile of Heaven, betraying Broken Sword…
She just didn't want to have one more regret…
"How can I trust you? What took you so long? Rain, she…"
"I know… I know… I thought I had more time… but it seems she was chosen as soon as she came."
Sunless was at a loss, he wanted to say the woman was wrong, but she wasn't, it had only been a day after all. He looked down, sad, lost.
Ki Song approached the boy and bent down to his level.
"I am an Awakened, a powerful and influential one, I can help you, help her."
Sunless beamed "Really?"
"Yes…"
Sunless looked at her with hope…
After a long silence.
"Okay… we are going with you"
Sunless finally said.
Ki Song smiled, and took him home.
Sunless became the new child of Song.
The only son of the Sovereign of Ravenheart.
