Chapter 1 - Ep.1 The Outcast Part 1

In the world of Ardonia Strength and Status were all that mattered. Especially in the city of Tuonku. With dangers at every corner all someone needed to become famous was to step through the right door.

Anyone could make a name for themselves, well... almost everyone.

"Eww it's that trash again. Why don't the guards just drag him away already?" Said the female adventurer next to her party. She had a look on her face like she just stepped in human excrement.

"They don't get paid enough to deal with beggars so most of them just gather in the slums." Said the female adventurers party member.

The one they were talking about was a 5'9" boy with skin as white as snow who was clearly starving and had a few scars on his face. His leather armor looked old and tattered while his sword was chipped and rusted.

Everyone who was an adventurer knew who this man was called. Myaki the beggar, Myaki the thief, Myaki the weakest warrior.

Myaki had a reputation bad enough to even cause the guards to occasionally hit him until all their anger was vented.

Even other beggars refused to associate themselves with Myaki. However Myaki didn't care about anything, even as a pile of mud flew at his face because of a carriage passing by.

Myaki's eyes held no signs of life, like he was only a drone waiting for new orders.

"Hey trash! I got a job for you!" Said a buff man who looked capable of snapping Myaki's spine with ease.

Myaki however just held his hand out until a single copper coin was placed by the man. This was the only work Myaki could do given his bad reputation.

And with a mocking voice the buffed man spoke as he read out loud the job.

"This job requires the head of 6 Viper wolves on the outskirts of the black forest." Said the man with pride, arrogance and mockery.

Everyone within earshot started whispering as the buff man was a well known adventurer name Gregor Claiver, a C-Rank Adventurer veteran.

"6 Viper Wolves? Aren't those considered 3 Star Catastrophe's?" Said a nearby adventurer.

Gregor felt his ear tingling and turned to the crowd with his chin raised and chest puffed outwards.

"Viper Wolves are the most lethal 3 star beast because of their speed and tight coordination in a pack. A single bite can kill a horse! It is a fitting task for the weakest man in all of Tuonku!" Gregor said with a smile stretched from ear to ear as he watched Myaki walk off.

Normally Gregor wouldn't accept such a dangerous mission alone. But the adventurers guild didn't care if you specifically did the quest.

As long as you hand in the commission form with proof of completion then it was done.

And Gregor exploited this loophole with Myaki at the cost of a single copper coin.

But Gregor wasn't interested in the reward for the quest this time as news was spreading of a change to the guilds rules.

'I've already milked this cow for its worth but now I have to finish it off. May you have a not so pleasant death you piece of trash.' Gregor thought to himself as Myaki disappeared from his sight.

As Myaki walked down the streets with his hood raised but despite that everyone could still recognize him. Kids in the streets threw rocks at him but Myaki didn't react and kept walking about before coming across a potion stall.

"One Antidote please..." Said Myaki with a cracked and raspy voice.

The stall owner looked up with a smile that only crumpled as soon as he saw Myaki.

The stall owner wasn't known for his fantastic potions as most of them were expired or false advertised.

But it was the only stall in all of Tuonku that sold potions to Myaki.

And after rummaging around a few crates the stall owner placed a small vial on the counter.

"10 copper coins." Said the stall owner with a voice brimming with disgust and annoyance.

The antidote was most definitely expired as there was a lingering smell to it but Myaki didn't care and pulled out 10 copper coins.

It was all Myaki had saved up over the past 2 months from Gregor's generosity.

So after receiving the payment the stall owner stuffed the coins in his pouch while not giving a second thought about Myaki who grabbed the antidote.

'I can barely sell any of my wares because of this worthless filth. Once he's gone I'll be able to sell my wares to normal people again.' Said the stall owner to himself as he watched Myaki walk away.

Everyone hated and despised myaki for rumors that weren't even true. But Myaki knew that the more he tried to confess his innocence the more people would suspect him.

Even his own father, mother and elder sister showed no love as they were the ones who started most of the rumors.

And yet to this day Myaki still didn't understand why his own family hated him with every fiber of their soul.

It showed Myaki something that couldn't be changed or altered in anyway, shape or even form.

Life was cruel and devastating to everyone, just some more then others.

*GRRRRRRR!*

Myaki had reached the black forest and had already encountered trouble as a single viper wolf came out of the bushes with his fangs showing.

But that was it, only one viper wolf not a pack of viper wolves.

'How annoying...' Said Myaki to himself with a faint hint of annoyance and frustration.

Myaki simply thought he would have to look for another pack of Viper wolves deeper into the forest. And as for the lone viper wolf? It couldn't even lunge at Myaki as it's head was already sliced off by a blade too fast for the eye to see.

But little did he know that fate had something else in store for him as he wasn't the only one in the Black Forest at the dead of night.

"Princess Aria! Run as fast as you can! We will hold it off!" Said a knight in marble white Armour with golden seems. She knew her life was over the second the beast had appeared before them and they princess.

A 7th Star Wyrm beast, a monster only A-Rank adventurers dared to take on. But the knights? They were B-Rank at best while the person they were guarding was only C-Rank.

Within Tuonku was the royal family consisting of King Hector Salazan, Queen Rose Salazan, the three princes and lastly Princess Aria Salazan.

She was truly the only odd sheep in her family as she wasn't like other Princesses. At the age of 11 she begged the king for sword training lessons and just a year later she became an adventurer in secret.

But when up against a creature like the Wyrm she and her knights were utterly powerless.

"We need to save the princess no matter the cost men! This is what we have been trained for!" Yelled Kentola, knight commander of princess Aria's royal knight division.

Her soldiers swallowed their fears and prepared themselves for death as the forest came to life with their screams.

The king had placed his trust in her to protect her daughter from any and all harm. Which was the highest responsibility imaginable for a commoner like her who rose through the ranks.

'I need to get the princess out of here no matter what! I will uphold my vow!' Kentola thought to herself.

And Aria? The fear of loosing Kentola who was her friend was heartbreaking but she ran away anyway despite the pain in her heart.

'Please survive Kentola! I still need you!' Aria thought to herself knowing it was a fools wish. Only a miracle could save Kentola and her knights.

*BAM!*

"Ow! Huh?"

Perhaps it was the tears in her eyes or the darkness in the forest or maybe the absent thoughts aside from her loyal knights sacrificing themselves for her. But Aria's mind became sharp the moment she bumped into something or rather someone.

A tall man with black hair and an intimidating scar stretching down his cheek. But it wasn't his looks or intimidating appearance that had Aria at a loss for words. It was the innate mana surging around the boy, like a fish seeing first hand a vast ocean with its own eyes.

Myaki still had no change in his expression as Princess Aria bumped into him and just looked at her clothes and armor. Both were made of exceptional quality which only meant one thing.

'A noble... how troublesome... I still need two more viper wolf heads.' Myaki thought to himself as he knew that getting involved with nobles would only result in more trouble.

But just as Myaki was about to walk away in search of more viper wolves Aria grabbed his already torn cape.

This was the very miracle she was hoping for.

"Please help save my knights! I'll pay anything! Gold! Luxury goods! Royal heirlooms! A title! Anything! Just save my knights from the Wyrm!" Princess Aria yelled with all her might.

To Aira the boy in front of her was her last hope to save Kentola and the others. But Myaki was hesitant to accept not because it was impossible to kill a Wyrm but because he didn't trust nobles.

*ROAR----!*

Both Myaki and Aria gazed up only to see the Wyrm flying towards them.

Myaki had snapped as he had just wanted to complete Gregor's quest for his copper coin only to save a noble.

"...Sword Art: Falling Crescent Moon." Said Myaki was his unsheathed his sword and drew a line in the air with it.

But Aira saw it in full view. A straight line of mana that transformed into 7 swords that shot outward at impossible speeds.

*BOOM!x7*

*ROAR!*

Each sword that shot out from Myaki's techniquecut a clear gaping whole through the Wyrms otherwise impenetrable scales.

In mere seconds Myaki had killed the Wyrm just as Kentola and the other knights arrived at the scene.

"Princess!"

"Princess Aria!"

"Your Highness!"

Kentola and her knights immediately ran to the princess to check if she was injured while Myaki was still standing, as stiff as a statue.

Both Aria and Kentola felt something shift as they looked at their savior only to see blood coming from everywhere.

"Sir!" Aria yelled as she tried to catch Myaki only to tare away a piece of his torn cloak.

Aria didn't know what was happening but Kentola was an experienced warrior.

And having saved the Princesses life she felt indebted to the boy in her arms.

"We must hurry lady Aria! He has suffered a mana overload! Only the royal healers can save this boy now! We must make haste!" Kentola commanded.

"R-Right!" Aria yelled as she wanted nothing more at that moment then to repay her debt to her savior.

There was no time to hesitate otherwise Myaki would die.
