Chapter 49 - chapter 49

Chapter 49 Storage

As his daughter helped him back into the room, Krishna lightly held his chest.

For the first time… he felt something real.

Fear.

"When Vijay raised his hand…" Krishna thought, "if that hit landed… this body would have died instantly."

His expression turned serious.

"This body is too weak."

He closed his eyes and focused inward.

His Phantom Eyes activated faintly… but showed nothing useful.

That's when he remembered.

"Storage."

Hundreds of storage spaces… all linked directly to his soul.

Treasures. Weapons. Medicines.

Everything he had ever collected.

But the moment he tried to access them—

His body trembled violently.

"Only ten percent…" he realized.

"Ninety percent… inaccessible."

His jaw tightened.

"If I try to force it… this body will collapse."

The biggest problem wasn't the storage.

It was himself.

"My soul is too strong," Krishna thought.

"A complete soul… filled with divine energy… inside a mortal body…"

A faint bitter smile appeared.

"This body can break at any second."

He needed a way.

Fast.

Then suddenly—

An idea struck him.

Krishna looked at his daughter.

"Yes… this is risky…" he thought.

"But I don't have a choice."

He called her closer.

"Come here," he said softly. "Daddy will show you a magic trick."

She tilted her head, looking at him carefully.

"Why are you not talking like Papa?" she asked.

Krishna froze.

"And who are you?"

Silence filled the room.

"Where is my Papa?"

Krishna's eyes widened slightly.

This… wasn't normal.

A child noticing this difference?

He looked at her carefully.

She continued, "You always call me little friend… now you are calling me daughter."

That single sentence… confirmed it.

She knew.

Krishna took a slow breath.

Then… he stopped hiding.

He explained everything in simple words.

She didn't understand the depth…

But she understood one thing.

"This is Papa… but different."

Her face lit up.

"Papa got all his memories back!" she said happily.

She turned to run outside.

"I will tell mama!"

Krishna quickly stopped her.

"Wait."

She looked back.

"Help daddy first… then we'll tell mama, okay?"

She nodded instantly.

"I will help!"

She puffed her chest proudly.

Krishna smiled faintly.

"Good."

He raised his hand slowly.

"I will open a portal," he said. "Inside, there are medicines. Bring as many as you can."

She nodded seriously.

"You have five minutes."

"Yes!" she said. "Mission completed, daddy!"

Krishna gathered energy from his soul.

The moment it entered his body—

Pain exploded inside him.

His veins burned.

His organs trembled.

Blood rose to his throat.

But he didn't stop.

With immense effort—

A small portal opened.

Krishna immediately spat blood.

The girl looked scared.

"Go!" he said urgently.

She ran inside.

The moment she entered—

Her eyes widened.

Mountains of treasures.

Weapons shining with terrifying aura.

Gold everywhere.

It was like another world.

As she walked forward—

A sharp blade lying on the ground cut her leg.

She flinched.

Tears formed in her eyes.

But she clenched her fists.

"Mission…" she whispered.

She didn't cry.

She kept moving.

She searched… and finally saw them.

A box filled with golden and green medicines.

"Found it!"

She ran toward it… but the weight of the treasures around slowed her.

She couldn't lift the box.

So she dragged it.

Slowly.

Painfully.

Step by step.

Outside—

Krishna was collapsing.

Blood kept spilling from his mouth.

His body couldn't handle the energy.

He didn't even have a cultivation core.

"This… might destroy me…" he thought.

But he endured.

The portal started shrinking.

Time was running out.

Krishna's breathing became uneven.

His vision blurred.

"Whatever happens… happens…"

Then—

He used it.

Dark Force.

A forbidden energy.

Not meant for someone at his current state.

The moment he used it—

His body began breaking even faster.

His skin turned pale.

His heartbeat weakened.

But the portal stabilized for a few more seconds.

"Come on…" he muttered.

Inside—

The girl dragged the box with everything she had.

The portal was closing.

Just a little more.

Just a little—

She pushed it through.

Krishna saw it.

The box.

Right in front of him.

His body finally gave up.

He collapsed.

But before losing consciousness—

He saw what she brought.

Not normal medicines.

Heavenly-grade medicines.

The ones he once treated as trash.

A weak laugh escaped his lips.

"Of all things…"

His vision faded.

"My daughter… brought the best…"

Darkness swallowed him.
