Chapter 1 - Unnamed

Chapter 1: Installed

2:03 AM.

Arif lay on his bed, phone in hand, scrolling endlessly.

Sleep refused to come.

Then his screen lit up.

Notification received.

"Last Seen Tomorrow has been installed successfully."

Arif frowned.

He hadn't installed anything.

The app icon was black.

No logo. No description.

He hesitated for a second, then tapped it.

The screen opened instantly.

One name appeared.

Rafi

Last Seen: Tomorrow — 6:12 PM

Arif laughed quietly.

"Fake."

He closed the app and put the phone down.

The next day, at exactly 6:12 PM, Rafi's phone went offline.

There was an accident.

Sudden. Final.

No goodbye.

Arif's hands trembled as he opened the app again.

The same black screen.

The same white text.

Unchanged.

That was when fear crept in.

This app didn't predict habits.

It showed endings.

And tomorrow…

was already written.

Chapter 2: Her Name

Neera laughed like the world was still kind.

They sat across from each other at the campus café.

She talked about classes, about nothing important.

Arif barely listened.

His phone felt heavy in his pocket.

Slowly, he took it out.

The app was still there.

Black screen.

White text.

His fingers hesitated.

Then he typed her name.

Neera

The screen froze.

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then white letters appeared.

Last Seen: Tomorrow — 11:47 PM

Arif's breath stopped.

Tomorrow.

11:47 PM.

"Arif?"

He looked up.

Neera was watching him, worried.

"You don't look okay."

Arif forced a smile.

"I'm fine," he said.

He locked the phone and put it away.

Because how do you tell someone you love

that tomorrow has already chosen them

Chapter 3: Trying Anyway

Arif knew something was wrong.

Neera was smiling like always.

Talking like always.

Living like tomorrow was guaranteed.

But his chest felt heavy.

He didn't leave her side for a second.

From class to the campus benches.

From quiet walks to shared silences in the library.

Always close. Always watching.

Neera laughed at one point.

"You're not letting me breathe today," she teased.

Arif tried to smile.

"I just… want to stay with you," he said.

Later that afternoon, Arif stopped walking.

"Neera," he said suddenly,

"don't go out tonight."

She looked surprised.

"Why?"

He struggled to find words.

"I can't explain it properly," he said, voice low.

"But please… stay home tonight. Trust me."

Neera stared at him for a long moment.

Then she spoke softly.

"You saw it, didn't you?"

Arif's heart dropped.

"The app," she continued.

"Last Seen Tomorrow."

He looked at her, shocked.

"You knew?"

She nodded.

"I've known for a while," she said calmly.

"Not everyone wants to know the future.

And not everyone can run from it."

Arif took her hand tightly.

"I don't want to run," he said.

"I want to change it.

Even if the ending is written… I want to try."

Neera looked at him, eyes gentle but firm.

"Love isn't always about winning," she said.

"Sometimes, love is about trying until the very end."

As the sun slowly disappeared,

the sky turning darker—

Arif held onto one thought.

Even if tomorrow was inevitable,

even if fate refused to listen—

he would never regret trying.
