Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Everyone Has a First Time

**Chapter 7: Everyone Has a First Time**

Seeing Mirajane standing there frozen, Lisanna and Elfman quickly ran to her side and asked worriedly, "Sister, are you hurt?"

Mirajane shook her head, then angrily punched the ground. "Damn it! Next time I'm definitely going to defeat that bastard!"

Elfman, completely clueless, advised, "Sister, don't fight him again. He's really too strong. You can't beat him." Mirajane's face darkened at her brother's words.

Lisanna quickly pinched Elfman and encouraged Mirajane, "I believe Sister's magic is the strongest! Even if you're not his match right now, you'll definitely defeat him in the future!"

Mirajane's expression finally improved. Laxus, the Guild Master's grandson, was four years older than her, so there was no point comparing herself to him yet.

Among the kids her age in the guild, only Erza was her rival, so she never thought much of boys her age and believed none of them could fight. Being defeated by a boy her own age made her feel extremely uncomfortable.

She secretly swore that next time she would definitely beat that guy and show the entire guild that she was the strongest mage.

Kaito had not only shocked Mirajane, but the other boys and girls in the guild were also intimidated by his strength.

Erza clenched her fists. She wanted to test herself against Kaito, but after seeing the destruction caused by his laser beam, she temporarily dropped the idea.

As a spectator, she could clearly see how superb Kaito's fighting skills were. She wasn't his opponent right now, but she would never admit defeat. One day, her strength would surpass his.

The other boys and girls in Fairy Tail chattered excitedly.

"The newcomer is so strong!"

"Such a young mage has that much destructive power. It's too exaggerated."

"He's probably the strongest mage in our age group."

Natsu loudly protested, "I'm the strongest mage in Fairy Tail!"

Gray teased from the side, "Wait until you can beat Mirajane and Erza first."

Natsu always challenged Erza and lost every single time, getting beaten miserably. Just hearing Erza's name made his body shiver involuntarily.

After entering the guild hall, Kaito ordered a huge pile of food that completely covered the table and began devouring it.

Ever since he crossed over to this world, his appetite had grown massively. His current stomach capacity was more than ten times that of a normal person. He had already been blacklisted from every all-you-can-eat restaurant he visited.

Everyone in the guild stared wide-eyed as Kaito ate. Before long, he had finished everything on the table and patted his slightly bulging belly in satisfaction. The others wondered where all that food had even gone.

In this world, he had almost never eaten his fill. After all, these people weren't his brothers, so taking too much felt embarrassing. Whenever he felt hungry, he really missed the gang back in the village. Sigh! He probably couldn't go back anymore. What was he going to do about missing those brothers so much? He still remembered how all the villagers had cried at the village entrance when he left.

After eating and drinking his fill, Kaito checked his pocket. He had 70,000 J left—enough for two more full meals. He was seriously short on money. He had no choice but to swallow his pride and start working, or he wouldn't survive. Facts proved that dignity was worthless in front of hunger.

Kaito walked over to the request board and began looking for jobs to take. He needed to get familiar with the work. Everyone has a first time. Since he had become a mage of Fairy Tail and started this adventurer life, he was going to become the best in the industry.

Actually, he quite liked this kind of life. At least it wouldn't let his skills go to waste.

Since he was so strong, he naturally started by looking at the highest-paying requests first.

"Exterminate the monsters lurking in the crater of Mount Talama. Reward: 1,500,000 J."

"Not bad! This one! It matches my status!" Kaito was very satisfied looking at the picture of a monster that resembled a fire-breathing dragon on the request sheet.

Kaito took the request sheet to Makarov. Makarov glanced at it in surprise. "You want to take a job so soon? Don't you want to get familiar with the guild first?"

"Poor!" Kaito replied with one word.

Makarov took the sheet, frowned, and said, "No, this job is too dangerous. It's not suitable for a beginner. Pick another one."

Kaito slammed the table in dissatisfaction. "Hey! Are you looking down on me?!"

"Stinky brat! Don't get arrogant just because you have some strength. This world is huge, and there are countless mages stronger than you." Makarov wanted to teach Kaito a proper lesson. Education had to start from a young age, or the kid would develop an overconfident personality and suffer losses later.

Kaito thought about it. Although Fairy Tail was known as an "immortal" series, it was actually a very dangerous world filled with powerful villains.

He had only been in this world for a month and had eaten the Glint-Glint Fruit recently. His strength wasn't at its peak yet. The only reason he hadn't lost any fights was because he only fought people he could beat. If he faced ten or twenty opponents, he would run. Better to develop quietly for a while first.
