Chapter 33 - Ifrit

"Mr Simon, that was amazing!" Shizu looked at me with amazement, the rest of the magic knights were shocked and frozen in place.

I held my hand out to the fallen knight, " You were quite incredible Claude." I smiled as he took my hand to get up.

"Simon where did you learn swordsmanship?" Alrose asked from beside us.

I turned to Alrose with a smile, "Self-taught."

"…" My answer caused the magic knights to. become shocked and feel slightly envious.

I became a little shy at their slightly malicious stares, "Um, well my first exposure to swordsmanship was just less than a century ago, when I fought and beat Leon."

Everyone's shocked faces became more profound, "Relax, Leon was handicapped in that fight. I think, I actually don't know how much of his strength he was using."

" I was going full strength, the only handicap is that I didn't use my ultimate skill in that fight." Leon spoke from the side and then he inquired, " By the way, how did you gain the upper advantage, you technically did evolve but that wouldn't help with swordsmanship?"

"When I became a saint I unlocked a new unique skill that helps with all forms of martial combat, it's called Unpredictability." My words just fried his brain at my casual remark of gaining a unique skill.

"It's not that ba-" I turned to look at the magic knights, each of them except Alrose were looking at the ground in pain, they seemed to be ready to give up on life, "Are you… all ok?"

Nyx stepped in to offer an explanation, "I think they realized who the main character of this world is?"

"I don't know. MC's usually have a lot of time to become as powerful as me or at least get used to the godlike power they already have."

Leon addressed the defeated Claude, " Claude I have to say, I am quite disappointed in your performance."

Alrose tried to defend Claude, "Milord, in his defence, you did just admit he could best you in swordsmanship."

"Yes but one of my knights just lost to a mage and enchanter." His words just caused the magic knights to crookedly turned there heads towards me.

"I was trained by a demon, it's obvious I specialise in magic over close combat."

All of us except Nyx and Amanises left the training ground, the magic knights and Leon went on with their day. I on the other hand took Shizu into the forest, " Um, Mr Simon, what are we doing here. You're not gonna do anything bad to me."

" Bad? Maybe but not anything perverted. All I want is to test Ifrit." My response caused Shizu to become frightened.

" No no no no no, please, I don't want to!"

" No need to be frightened, you'll be fine and frankly, I don't see how I can be hurt by this spirit."

Shizu calmed down, "Ok, but you better not die!" Shizu closed her eyes and began to focus on something. When she opened her eyes it became a scorching red and her body began to heat up with fire burning along her hair.

She raised her hand and summoned a projectile of fire that smashed into me. Ifrit looked at the fire with disdain until he saw the figure step out of it without a scratch.

"What… are you?" A distorted voice that had Shizu's childish female voice overlapped with a rough male voice came out her mouth.

" Oh, Ifrit I presume. What I is simply human. You don't seem too happy to cooperate with Shizu?"

At my words, he just blasted me with even more fire. The fire instantly turned to ice and the surroundings began to undergo a state of fixation. Ifrit might be a powerful elemental but I'm immune to all he can throw at me, especially considering it's only fire, and not to mention no matter how powerful and elemental is, there's really no way for them to counter true dragon magic.

I walked to Shizu's backside and engraved a circuit that allows her to fully utilise Ifrit's power without consequence and then snapped Shizu back into her pilot seat.

Shizu opened her eyes to the falling of snow and her body frozen in ice, " What…happened?"

"I basically made it easier for you to channel Ifrits power." Shizu looked to her side to find that the source of the voice was breaking her out of the ice.

"Why is there ice everywhere?"

"Oh, Ifrit was trying desperately to kill and I was worried he might destroy the forest. So I turned down his flames." I said casually.

Shizu controlled the flames in her body in a manner that was a noticeable improvement than any other time. She began molding the flames into various shapes and forms, showing her improvement in fire manipulation.

"For a demon lord, you have quite a bit of free time." Shizu perked up when she heard my words, she looked in the direction that I was looking and saw Leon come out of the shadows.

"You stabilized Ifrit's power?"

"No, only gave Shizu better control over his power."

" Anyways the reason I came to you is about an invention that Guy told me about, something called a mana reactor." When Leon looked up he saw me holding out a spherical device, "Is this it? You just keep some on hand?"

"No, I can will them into existence." Shizu was holding onto me while looking at the object. I noticed her curious gaze and explained what it is, " Shizu, this object is a artifact that generates infinite magicules."

Shizu's eyes went wide at my explanation. She began to see me with reverance.

Me, Shizu and Leon turned around and walked back to the castle. Once we returned, I summoned Nox and Orion which caused both Shizu and Leon to be surprised; Shizu's surprise came from the incredibly symbiotic and perfect relationship between me and my spirits which caused a spark of jealousy in her, Leon's surprise was from Nox, a spirit that appears as it's host.

" Leon, I want you to teach me something that would help with my next major project."
