"Alright, it is getting late. You two should head back and get some rest."
Dumbledore checked the time; it was already midnight. After sending Snape and Professor McGonagall back to their quarters, he made his way toward the wooden hut located on the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
"I wonder if Hagrid is still awake."
He needed Hagrid to find certain magical creatures that could facilitate the young wizards' training in ki magic. Regarding the current ki magic curriculum outlined in the proposal, Dumbledore felt that there shouldn't be any major issues.
Compared to ordinary people, while a wizard's body held no significant advantage in terms of raw strength or speed, their wizarding bloodline granted them extraordinary recovery and resistance.
If an ordinary child fell from a height of seven or eight meters, there was virtually no chance of survival. However, a wizarding child would likely suffer nothing more than a few broken bones; even without magical intervention or potions, they could slowly recover on their own.
Therefore, while the ki magic training might be grueling for the young wizards, it would certainly be much more manageable for them than for Muggle children. Furthermore, with Madam Pomfrey on hand, any injury—provided it wasn't instantaneous death—could be healed. For wizards, unless the injury involved Dark Arts curses, even missing limbs weren't considered truly critical wounds.
In truth, Dumbledore wasn't worried about the students' physical well-being; he was worried about their perseverance. However, he felt this was a good thing. It would filter out the young wizards who lacked resolve, allowing him to forge a true elite force to combat Voldemort and the Death Eaters in the future. This was precisely why he had included the "voluntary participation" clause in the notice.
As for whether the ki training methods might pose a threat to the wizarding world if leaked to ordinary people? He felt the risk was minimal. According to his understanding, to generate the energy known as ki, one first had to push the human body to its absolute limits.
This was far too difficult for ordinary people; even in Goku's world, it seemed very few had mastered the use of ki energy. A wizard's constitution was naturally more advantageous in this regard.
And what if Dark Wizards learned it? That wasn't a major issue either. A wizard's constitution was unique, but as they aged, it inevitably deteriorated. Most of the Dark Wizards currently active in the world were middle-aged or even elderly.
If they attempted to train according to the ki magic curriculum, their bodies simply wouldn't be able to handle it. Even among the young wizards currently at school—those best suited for this path—he suspected only a minority would be able to push their bodies beyond their limits and master ki magic.
...
The next day, Goku woke up in the white space and entered the Harry Potter world once again, appearing on the bed in the faculty quarters. The time was 6:00 AM, and the sun had not yet risen.
Normally, he wouldn't wake up this early because his usual days were packed with intense training that consumed massive amounts of physical energy. Generally, he followed a schedule of waking at 8:00 AM and sleeping at 8:00 PM; sufficient sleep was vital for bodily recovery and the growth of his ki.
However, at this stage, he had to learn magic from Dumbledore—studying spells in the morning and theory in the afternoon. This naturally reduced his available training time. Fortunately, learning magic and incantations didn't drain his physical stamina, so he could focus his training in the early morning and late evening.
His training could not be interrupted; it was his very foundation. While he was eager to learn wizarding techniques because they enhanced his strength and made him harder to target in battle—allowing him to develop more diverse combat strategies—it would be a case of "putting the cart before the horse" if he spent all his energy on magic and neglected his physical training.
Dumbledore had explained these principles to him last night after analyzing his fighting style. Furthermore, in addition to helping him analyze his combat, Dumbledore had offered to help him train more effectively as a reward for helping collect the Dragon Balls to resurrect his sister.
Goku would guide the young wizards in the Turtle School training and teach them to use ki, while Dumbledore would guide him in the study of magic. Goku would help collect the Dragon Balls to summon the Dragon and save Dumbledore's sister, and in return, Dumbledore would assist him in achieving better results in his own training.
Dumbledore told him this was an "equivalent exchange"—a fair trade and a form of mutual respect. One could be kind and help others out of the goodness of one's heart, but one shouldn't be a "do-gooder" to a fault.
Constant giving without expectation didn't always result in gratitude; it could just as easily lead to endless taking and malice. Goku didn't quite understand the complexities of these lessons, but he took some of it to heart. Regardless, he was more than willing to do anything that could boost his own power.
"Goku, good morning!"
Goku pushed open the door to find Dumbledore standing outside. He stretched his arms and replied, "Good morning, Grandpa Dumbledore! You're up even earlier than me."
"As one gets older, one needs less sleep," Dumbledore said, his face full of kindness. "Come, let us go to the place where you train."
Following a flash of fire, the two vanished and reappeared at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, next to a large wooden hut.
"When can I learn that magic?" Goku asked. He was very interested in Apparition; it was incredibly convenient for both fighting and traveling.
"Once you have mastered all the seventh-year magic, you can learn this spell," Dumbledore said with a smile. Advanced magic like Apparition was not easy to learn; even among seventh-year wizards, not everyone could master it.
"Professor Dumbledore!"
At the entrance of the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid approached, carrying a massive log about four or five meters in diameter, followed by his pet, Fang. "I really can't believe it—you've actually become a professor at the school."
Looking at Goku standing next to Dumbledore, Hagrid couldn't help but express his amazement. He had learned a bit about Goku's situation from Dumbledore the previous night; the huge tree he had gone to cut down this morning was specifically to assist Goku with his morning training.
"Good morning, Hagrid!" Goku greeted him energetically. He stepped forward, took the massive log, and hoisted it onto his shoulders.
"You've certainly got some strength," Hagrid said, giving a thumbs-up. He found it hard to imagine how someone with Goku's small frame could possess such immense power.
"Engorgio!"
With a flick of Dumbledore's wand, the log on Goku's shoulders instantly doubled in size. "Can you hold it?" Dumbledore asked with concern.
Goku nodded, performing a light frog-hop on the spot. "I can!"
Dumbledore waved his wand again, continuing to cast the Engorgement Charm, steadily increasing the volume of the log until Goku began to find it extremely taxing. Only then did Dumbledore stop.
Carrying the heavy log, drenched in sweat, Goku began his training in the clearing in front of the hut. Whenever he reached the point where he could no longer hold on, Dumbledore would promptly shrink the log's size, allowing him to catch his breath.
Once his breath returned, the size would be increased again, ensuring that Goku remained in a state of training at his absolute physical limit.
