{Ashara}
The central hall was the biggest space in the ruin by far, with high ceilings, a wide floor, and pillars running down both sides. It had probably been important once. Right now it was fifty-odd adventurers throwing bedrolls on the ground and arguing about rations.
Ashara's squad arrived to find most of the hall already claimed. Bedrolls were scattered across the stone floor in loose clusters, grouped by squad. Someone had set up a line of luminary crystals along the base of the far wall, which gave the room a dim yellowish glow that was just bright enough to eat by and just dark enough to make everything look a little eerie.
It was loud. Voices bounced off the stone and stacked on top of each other until the whole room sounded like a tavern without the alcohol.
