Chapter 35 - Dragon Tiger Gate?

When the terms "metahuman" and "Fire Cloud Evil God" came up, Han Shaoqing immediately thought of Under One Person and Kung Fu.

However, upon hearing the second elder mention Rakshasa Gate, Han Shaoqing guessed it should be Dragon Tiger Gate.

Dragon Tiger Gate was a Hong Kong manhua.

Dragon Tiger Gate was founded by brothers Wang Jianglong and Wang Fuhu, who were born into a martial arts family.

They saw that the grassroots were bullied by evildoers every day, so they were determined to promote martial arts and self-strengthening.

They often took in children who had dropped out of school and had no support, teaching them martial arts and contributing to society.

From then on, the plaque of Dragon Tiger Gate represented justice, and young people from all sides were proud to join Dragon Tiger Gate.

Han Shaoqing remembered that there was also a movie called Dragon Tiger Gate, and the actor playing the main character was the same as the actor for Wu Shihao. He wondered what would happen if the two met?

At that moment, two female nurses walked in.

"Wu Shihao, how are you feeling? Do you have any discomfort?"

The nurse asking the questions had a delicate, oval face. Her pupils sparkled, and she had short, curly hair swept to the left side of her head, with a small nurse's cap perched on top. She looked somewhat familiar.

After a moment's thought, Han Shaoqing recalled that this nurse was called Qing'er. In the movie Chasing the Dragon, she became Wu Shihao's wife.

Of course, she and Wu Shihao were only meeting for the first time now.

Because of Han Shaoqing's appearance, Wu Shihao's wife and son were still in the Mainland, safe and sound. If nothing unexpected happened, Wu Shihao and Qing'er shouldn't have any further interactions.

"I'm fine, I'm feeling much better."

Wu Shihao struggled to sit up, looking at Han Shaoqing. "I'm sorry, Brother Qing, I've embarrassed you!"

"It's good you're alright. I asked the doctor, and it's not a big deal. Just a mild concussion. Get some rest and don't overthink things for now."

This wasn't Wu Shihao's fault. The other side was prepared, while Wu Shihao wasn't. Getting injured was entirely part of their plan.

Rakshasa Gate was after Han Shaoqing. Injuring Wu Shihao was a way to lure Han Shaoqing out.

While talking to Wu Shihao, Han Shaoqing's keen hearing picked up the sound of a large group of people approaching the hospital.

They were likely from Rakshasa Gate.

Han Shaoqing kept a calm expression, telling Wu Shihao to rest and recover. He also had Da Wei and a few others he trusted stay and look after him.

He walked out of the room, through the corridor, and glanced at the elders following behind him. "I thought you lot might be useful, but it turns out you can't even handle a small matter. Are you happy that Ahao got hurt?"

The Second Elder immediately passed the buck: "No, no, we didn't want this either. Who knew Rakshasa Gate would suddenly attack? This is all Ma Kun's fault. He's the one who stirred up all this trouble."

The Fifth Elder also chimed in, echoing, "That's right, it's Ma Kun."

Han Shaoqing's gaze swept over the few old men, finally settling on the Fifth Elder: "Your heart is beating very fast. I heard you had a good relationship with the Eighth Elder. Are you eager to go down and see him?"

"I'll grant your wish."

Han Shaoqing lightly patted the Fifth Elder on the shoulder.

The Fifth Elder immediately felt a blockage in his chest, insufficient blood supply, leading to brain hypoxia. His vision went black, and he collapsed to the ground, convulsing.

Han Shaoqing nonchalantly called out, "Nurse, come and take a look. Someone's not doing well here."

The Fifth Elder's face turned purple. He clutched his chest with one hand and pointed at Han Shaoqing with the other, but couldn't speak.

Before the doctors and nurses could arrive, he died from heart failure due to the heavy pressure.

The Second Elder, Third Elder, and the others felt a sense of sorrow, like the death of the rabbit and the fox, but they dared not speak.

The doctor rushed to the scene but was unable to save him. He finally announced the death and had the body put on a stretcher to be taken away.

Han Shaoqing looked at the remaining four, who were filled with trepidation, and said coldly, "I like smart people, but I don't like those who think they're clever. You can't afford to play this game of using a borrowed knife to kill."

"We dare not, this was all Fifth's own doing, it has nothing to do with us!"

The Second Elder and the others quickly distanced themselves from the situation.

"Alright, this matter is over. But I don't want there to be a next time. It's not easy for you to live to this age, you should know how to cherish it. Be at the hospital in half an hour, or you might lose your old lives."

With that, Han Shaoqing brushed his sleeves and left.

As he walked out of the hospital, Han Shaoqing noticed many unusual gazes fixed on him.

He acted as if nothing was wrong and chose a less crowded alley to walk into.

Before long, a group of people surrounded the alley.

They all wore uniform black clothing and held identical-looking machetes, appearing much more well-trained than the average delinquent.

"The people from Yi An are here too."

Yi An was the largest triad in Xiangjiang, with a stronger influence than the Chao Shan Gang. Their boss was Ma Kun, and they primarily profited from overseas smuggling. They controlled Xiangjiang's major docks, and even the British gave them some respect.

Han Shaoqing stood calmly in the alley.

Soon, four people walked out from the crowd opposite him. Standing in the middle was a man holding a pair of ninja forks, Ku Liqiang.

Or rather, someone who looked very similar to Ku Liqiang, with a hint of wickedness. He should be called Old Yao, but he only looked to be in his early thirties.

Another one, wearing a half-faced ghost mask on his head, stood on the left. His hands moved with a steady and powerful rhythm, suggesting he was a master of boxing.

The one standing on the far right was a long-haired man holding a long staff. His eyes were cold, and he looked at Han Shaoqing as if he were already dead.

Behind Old Yao stood Ma Kun, who looked much younger than in the movies, still with black hair and a small mustache.

"Offending our Rakshasa Gate means your death today."

The long-haired man with the staff, nicknamed Stick Demon, took the initiative. He swung his Paulownia Wood Staff, bringing with it the force of a thousand pounds, and swept towards Han Shaoqing's head.

Han Shaoqing raised a hand and firmly grasped the staff as it came down. He glanced sideways at Stick Demon, then kicked out, sending him flying. Finally, he added, "Thanks, bro, for the weapon."

Stick Demon, already severely injured, spat out a mouthful of blood on the spot and collapsed.

Seeing this, Old Yao's expression immediately became grave.

As another of Fire Cloud Evil God's subordinates, he was ranked first, but only slightly stronger than the Stick Demon.

To defeat the Stick Demon, it would take at least a hundred moves.

Yet the person before him had crippled the Stick Demon with a single kick. In his memory, besides Fire Cloud Evil God, this was the first time he'd seen such formidable strength.

Fist Sha, wearing a mask, looked at Ma Kun: "Have your men go first."

Ma Kun's heart clenched. He didn't want to get involved in this mess, but due to Rakshasa Gate's influence, he could only grit his teeth and order his men forward.

"Kill!"

A group of men in black, brandishing gleaming machetes, charged towards Han Shaoqing.

"I was just looking for someone to test my moves on. I hope your bodies can hold up."

Han Shaoqing wasn't afraid and instead laughed. He twirled the Paulownia Wood Staff in his hand, clamping it behind his neck. His hands channeled True Qi into the Paulownia Wood Staff, causing visible electricity to arc along its length.
