Hailey thought Hardin was joking and she just went to her room, took a quick shower and changed into her pajamas to sleep.
When she fell on the bed her muscles relaxed and she smiled, how tired she was today, her shoulders, back and legs hurt like crazy.
Just when she was about to close her eyes, her bedroom door flew open and there he stood, Hardin.
He had a stoic expression on as he stared at her, Hailey felt his gaze burning into her skin and she sighed.
"I haven't rested today at all, just let me sleep, I would clean the kitchen first thing tomorrow, I wake up early you know" Hailey said in a pleading tone.
She had no strength to argue with him so she just hoped he took pity on her because if she didn't rest she would collapse.
"I don't care if you haven't rested all day, I want you to clean the kitchen now," Hardin said darkly.
"I won't repeat myself" Hardin said again as Hailey slowly stopped up from the bed walking towards him.
"We got married because I couldn't pay you for the suit I ruined considering I am very poor even though you were being insanely unfair, but that doesn't make me your maid, I won't tolerate this" Hailey said and Hardin smirked.
She felt her blood boil, how dare he smirk when she is being serious with him, he is just annoying her further.
"Interesting how you think you can do whatever you want, you would clean the kitchen now, all the time we used to talk you should have been done with it and back to your bed" Hardin said and Hailey closed her eyes and breathed deeply.
She glared at Hardin before walking past him making sure to hit him with her shoulder in the process and Hardin Chuckled.
"She really is different from her," Hardin muttered before walking out of the room.
____
Hailey used her last bit of strength to clean the kitchen and when she was finally done she collapsed on the kitchen floor, breathing heavily.
Hardin looked at her with a small smile, he was enjoying this.
Hailey's eyes met with his and she frowned, he was smiling at her condition.
Jerk!!
She stood up and walked up to him, he had his phone in his hand, he didn't go back upstairs when she came down cause he wanted to make sure she didn't sneak back to her room.
"I'm done with the kitchen Mr. Anthony, can I go to bed now? It's already late" Hailey said sweetly and Hardin raised his brows.
Hardin found her attitude disgusting, she was pretending to be sweet and that reminded him of a certain someone especially with that look in her eyes.
"There are other things you can do actually," Hardin started and Hailey's eyes widened.
"No thank you that wasn't the agreement, good night, I hope you have nightmares!" Hailey scoffed before going upstairs and Hardin laughed, this stubborn attitude suits her better than the sweet girl attitude.
______
Hailey yawned loudly as her eyes fluttered open, her body hurts, definitely from the workload she did yesterday.
"I need an entire day to rest so I can recover" she muttered as she dragged herself to the bathroom.
When she came back she picked up her damaged phone, it was 8am.
Why was she up so early?
She went back to bed but the door bell rang and she frowned, what is it now?
With the maids gone, she had to be the one to open the door but they hardly had any guests around so who was it?
"The chef... Fuck!" Hailey said in realization and she groaned in frustration.
She got down from the bed and walked downstairs towards the door praying silently that it wasn't the chef, she just wanted to sleep, not learn how to cook.
When she opened the door all hope left her body cause it was the chef standing there and he was smiling so sheepishly.
"I hate you, not as much as I hate Hardin but you're on my black list" Hailey said to him and walked back into the living room leaving the door open.

Hardin packed his car in front of the well furnished mansion and sighed before coming out. The estate was quiet as always, he walked into the house.
"My little boy" Erica said as she took hurried steps to him engulfing him in a hug, Hardin hugged her back with a smile.
"Evening mom, you look as beautiful as ever" Hardin said and Erica blushed.
"You always know how to make my heart flutter" Erica said with a smile and Hardin Chuckled.
"How bold of you to say that to my wife in my presence" Cedric said and Hardin turned his attention towards his father.
"She's not only your wife, she's my mother too" Hardin retorted and Cedric scoffed.
"She was my wife first" Cedric replied and Erica sighed, shaking her head.
"Let's just eat dinner, it's been a while since Hardin came home for dinner," Erica said, leading the two men to the dinner table.
"You know I have been a busy mom," Hardin said and Erica nodded with a smile.
"I know that, but still try to make time for us and yourself too, what girl would want to marry a workaholic, am not getting younger you know" Erica said and Hardin sighed.
This is exactly why he was avoiding coming home for dinner, his mom never missed a chance to bring up this topic.
"Your mother is right, It's been far too long Hardin, let the past remain in the past, you need to move on" Cedric said and Erica nodded in agreement.
"Can we just eat, please?" Hardin said, obviously uncomfortable with the conversation.
Cedric and Erica gave themselves a worried look before facing their food.
"How's Mark, I haven't seen him in a while, has he forgotten about me?" Erica asked after a while.
"He doesn't have a mom, he just got back from his honeymoon and I don't think Faye is giving him enough space" Hardin said and Erica chuckled.
"True, Mark is also a workaholic like yourself. I am glad he has someone like Faye who was able to tame that habit," Erica said proudly.
Hardin knew exactly what his mom was hunting at so he just ignored her and ate his food.
