Hardin came later that evening to see Hailey, he held a package in his hand which he dropped by her bed side, she refused to talk to him, he knew she wasn't eating the food he sent to her but he wouldn't force her.
"The doctor said you'd be discharged in a week at most at least you'll be able to leave this hospital" Hardin started but Hailey ignored him.
Her eyes were on the book she was reading and she didn't even bother giving him a glance, if anything she was completely annoyed and irritated by his presence.
"Mom said to say hi, she couldn't visit" Hardin said and Hailey paused.
Mom?
Does he mean his mother? Oh right, they were married, he probably told his mom what he told Faye and Mark.
Hailey didn't say anything but continued to read her book, when Hardin saw she wasn't even engaging in any conversation with him.
He decided to leave.
"You should sleep early to rest your body" he said and walked out of the ward.
Hailey closed her book and sighed, she turned her attention towards the package Hardin walked in with and she took it from the ground.
She wasn't planning on opening it cause she wanted nothing to do with him but she was curious.
She took it and brought out a new phone, that made her remember the phone Cole got her the day she escaped Hardin.
Hailey bit her lips and quickly put back the phone, she dropped it and laid properly on the bed.
She wants absolutely nothing to do with Hardin, when she gets out of this hospital she would try to pay him back the hospital bills.
What hurts the most is that she was still his wife.

It's been a week and Hailey was getting discharged from the hospital, she was feeling a lot better now in fact she was as good as new.
Hardin's parents had come to visit her and she was grateful to them, his mom was so nice to her, Faye has been coming to see her too and true to her word she has been coming with a huge bouquet of roses.
Hardin visited too, he knew she wasn't eating the food he sent to her but he kept sending them, morning, afternoon and night .
He would also come in the evening to see her everyday and Hailey got used to it, every evening she would be expecting him to come and he would.
He would always try to start conversations with her but she would always ignore him.
A part of her was surprised by his effort, it was clearly obvious his behavior towards her was changing and she couldn't ask for anything more, in fact that's what she always wanted.
But she can't erase what he put her through no matter what and what annoyed her the most is that she has no idea why he did all those things to her.
"Are you ready ma'am?" the driver Hardin said to Hailey and she nodded, she was putting on a black jean and a blue shirt.
She followed the driver out of the hospital and got into the car. Hardin probably took care of the paperwork in the hospital.
The car stopped in front of Hardin's mansion and Hailey sighed, she was back to this hell hole, this prison cage.
She got down from the car and went straight to her room, when she entered, the room was sparkling clean like she never left.
She remembered how she tried to kill herself in this very room and she bit her lips.
Hailey brought out the phone Faye got her, she had refused to use the phone Hardin bought for her and told Faye to get her one and of course Faye was delighted to do that.
The main reason she got the phone was to know if Cole was really alive and he was, though there isn't much information on him but she knows he was okay and that's enough for her.
She owes him a lot.

Hardin got back home and met Hailey on the couch, she was watching TV with a bowl of snacks in her hand.
She looked at him and turned her face away, focusing on the TV and Hardin sighed.
He would never get used to her snobbish attitude, normally he was the one doing it to her but now she has the upper hand.
He went to his room, took a shower and came back down. He sat on the couch with Hailey, his laptop on his lap.
"You can do this in your study you know" Hailey spoke up and Hardin looked at her.
Finally, she was talking to him.
"I want to do it here" Hardin said and turned his attention to his laptop and Hailey frowned at him.
She raised the volume of the TV, it was so loud that even if someone speaks the other won't hear.
All this was an attempt to disturb Hardin.
Hardin smiled at least she was giving him her attention, even though it was in a negative way.
He closed the laptop and turned to her with an amusing smirk and she gave him a nonchalantly look.
He took the remote from her and turned off the TV and Hailey frowned at him hard.
"I was watching that, I told you to go to your study" Hailey complained but Hardin had the remote behind him.
Hailey tried to reach for it and Hardin used the opportunity to hold her close to him.
Their faces are inches apart.
