Julius handed the paper back to Alfred. "I wonder who it could be…" he muttered under his breath.
He chuckled softly. 'Some extra? Then it would be like those novels where the main character is reborn as a side character. I'll steal all the heroines, lol."
The thought made his eyes sparkle with amusement.
"Haa…" He let out a long sigh, then turned to Rosel, who was still snug in his right arm.
He gently rubbed her soft cheek with his thumb. "Alright, little princess. Let's go get something to eat."
Rosel looked up at him with big, innocent eyes. "What are we going to eat today, Papa?" she asked.
Her eyes squinted cutely as Julius playfully pinched her cheeks.
"How about meat?" Julius suggested with a grin.
"Meat is super tasty and it has all the good stuff to help you grow strong and—"
Before he could finish, the loud sound of horse carriages rolling closer echoed through the air.
Julius turned his head, eyebrows lifting in curiosity as he looked toward the gate.
