"Will you be fine on your own?" Amanda asked with concern as Kyle reached for the bathroom door.
Kyle reassured her, "Yeah, I'm good." He would be embarrassed letting her...handle things. Yeah, she had seen all of him, but still.
His body was working just fine. He might be a little exhausted but he has faced worse days when he was sick and alone. This much was nothing.
Amanda told him, "If you need help, just let me know, okay? I'll be outside."
Kyle nodded before entering the stall.
For her peace of mind, he didn't lock the door.
He approached the toilet and lifted the lid before taking care of his business.
As he did, his mind drifted back to the interrogation he faced.
That man...his card was still in his pocket and his words lingered in his mind.
