Amanda groaned softly as she stirred awake, slowly opening her eyes. Something warm rested beneath her cheek.
The realization hit her a second later.
She immediately sat up and touched the corner of her mouth.
For fuck's sake.
She had drooled.
And not just anywhere. Right onto Kyle's chest.
A wave of embarrassment washed over her as she hurriedly wiped her cheek. The moment her hand brushed against his chest, a familiar voice reached her ears.
"It's fine."
Amanda froze.
Slowly, she looked up.
Kyle was smiling.
He had seen everything.
Kill her.
"Wait, you're not going anywhere."
Chuckling, he caught her hand before she could make a desperate escape.
Amanda's eyes instinctively drifted toward the window across the room.
Should she jump now?
She had stayed up late last night, and unlike usual, she had somehow woken up after him despite falling asleep together.
Turning back toward him, she mumbled,
"I don't drool usually..."
"I know."
His smile only deepened.
