Chapter 8 - RBE 5

Grand Ceremony Hall — Day of the Wedding

Golden banners flowed from the towering pillars, incense drifted through the vast hall, and the air shimmered with ceremonial music. Disciples lined the marble pathway while nobles and envoys filled the seats, their voices hushed in anticipation.

At the far end of the hall, Tian Ya stepped forward in ceremonial robes as white as morning clouds.

Her expression was calm, composed — the calm of someone who had already sacrificed her hesitation for the sake of others.

At the altar, however… something was wrong.

Instead of a single prince awaiting her, two figures stood side by side — the Golden God and the Silver God, both adorned in royal attire, both smiling with unsettling confidence.

The hall fell into a strange silence.

Tian Ya's footsteps slowed.

Her breath caught in her throat.

For a moment, she could not speak. Her eyes moved from one face to the other, searching for explanation — for logic — for mercy. None came.

Tian Ya (whispering):"…Two?"

No one answered.

She turned sharply toward the raised platform where Di Tian Yi and the elders sat.

Tian Ya:"Sect Master… what is the meaning of this?"

Di Tian Yi's expression remained composed, almost indifferent.

Di Tian Yi: by hesitation and try to give a senseless explanation "A union of strength. A rare honor bestowed upon you and the sect."

A ripple of uneasy murmurs spread among the guests.

Guest Whisper:"Two grooms…?"

"This is no tradition I have ever heard…"

"Is this truly the Tian Sect's decision?"

Tian Ya's hands trembled — not with fear, but with rising fury.

Tian Ya:"Honor?"

Her voice echoed through the hall.

"You call deception an honor? You hid this from me… from my clan… from everyone!"

The elders shifted uncomfortably but did not intervene.

Silver God:smirking "You should feel fortunate. Few are worthy of such attention."

Golden God: "History will remember this day."

The whispers grew louder.

Another Guest (low voice):

"This reeks of manipulation…"

"Has the Sect Master lost his sense of virtue?"

"A dark stain upon his name…"

Di Tian Yi's jaw tightened slightly, though his posture did not change.

Tian Ya's eyes burned. The humiliation, the betrayal, the calculated silence — it all crashed upon her at once.

Tian Ya:"You speak of history… yet you write it with disgrace!"

A sharp insult slipped from the Silver God's lips — careless, dismissive.

That was the final thread.

The air around Tian Ya shifted.

In a sudden motion, she stepped back, her robes swirling like storm clouds. Spiritual energy surged around her, bright and fierce. Gasps erupted throughout the hall as she struck forward, her palm releasing a burst of force that sent both brothers sliding back several steps.

Elder (rising):

"By sect law… no interference. Let the involved parties resolve this themselves."

The hall erupted into chaos — nobles standing, disciples whispering, servants frozen in shock. The Golden and Silver Gods steadied themselves, their confident smiles fading into irritation.

Golden God: "So the dove has talons."

Silver God:"Then let her learn the cost of defiance."

They advanced.

Tian Ya stood her ground, fury blazing in her eyes, every ounce of suppressed dignity turning into resolve. The ceremonial hall that was meant for vows now trembled under the pressure of clashing auras.

Just as the tension reached its breaking point— A powerful voice thundered from the entrance.

Tian Xu:"Enough!"

The doors burst open as he stepped inside, his presence cutting through the chaos like a blade through silk. His robes flowed behind him, his gaze fierce yet unwavering. The murmurs died instantly.

He walked forward, placing himself between Tian Ya and the two prince.

Tian Xu:"This hall was built for honor, not humiliation.

If vows are forged through deceit… then they are not vows — they are chains."

Silence swallowed the chamber. Even the banners seemed to still in the air.

Tian Ya's trembling breath steadied as her grandfather stood before her — not as an elder bound by politics, but as a shield refusing to break.

And in that moment, the grand ceremony that was meant to seal a union instead revealed a fracture that no silk banner could conceal.
