After leaving the Pokémon Center, Icarus brought Bellsprout and Pidgey back home. He planned to finish the fourth task tonight, then head to the grocery store tomorrow to process the remaining harvest.
"Ring! Ring!"
Not long after dinner, the alarm clock woke the three of them from their short nap.
"Let's go, Pidgey, Bellsprout. Tonight's goal—ten Oddish!"
"Spri spri! (｀・ω・´)"
"Pidgey!"
Full of fighting spirit, the trio greeted the guards at the town gate, exchanged a few casual words, and headed into the forest.

At night, the outskirts of the forest were practically the territory of Oddish.
"Oddish~"
"Oddi~"
Before long, they spotted two Oddish bathing peacefully in the moonlight. The silver glow shimmered faintly across their leaves. Eyes half-closed, they looked serene and content.
"Shushasha—"
Yellow powder suddenly scattered through the air, shattering the tranquil scene.
"Spri~!"
"Huuu~"
The Dusting Duo didn't care about peace and quiet—they only cared whether the powder worked.
And it did.
"Pidgey, Tackle and Peck! Bellsprout, Vine Whip to follow up!"
"Pidgey!"
Wrapped in pale white energy, Pidgey dove and tore a bloody hole into one Oddish with Peck.
"Crack! Crack!"
Bellsprout's vines lashed down immediately after.
"Oddish!"
Within seconds, one Oddish was severely wounded and writhing on the ground.
"Oddish! (◣д◢)"
The other roared angrily and spat a stream of Acid toward Pidgey.
"Pidgey, Quick Attack to dodge, then Peck! Take to the air and use Gust!"
"Pidgey!"
In a flash of white light, Pidgey avoided the Acid and struck back, piercing the Oddish again.
"Oddi—!"
Without hesitation, Pidgey flapped its wings and unleashed Gust.
Soon, both Oddish lost the ability to fight.

"Spri?"
Bellsprout looked dissatisfied. It had already reached the Normal level—why was Pidgey the main attacker tonight?
Icarus explained calmly:
"It's about type advantage. Your moves are Grass- and Poison-type. Oddish is also Grass/Poison. Your damage is reduced.
"But Pidgey is Flying-type. Flying-type moves deal roughly double damage to Grass-types. That makes it much faster for Pidgey to handle them."
Understanding dawned in Bellsprout's eyes.
But at that moment—
"Oddish!"
A hidden Oddish suddenly launched Acid from the bushes!
Icarus rolled aside, but some splashed onto his protective suit. The material sizzled faintly, though he remained unharmed.
Bellsprout, however, took a direct hit.
"Spri! (◣д◢)"
Thankfully, as a Normal-level Pokémon with natural Poison resistance, it only felt brief burning pain.
"Bellsprout, Vine Whip—bind both of them! Pidgey, Tackle and Peck—this one's yours!"
"Whuuush!"
Two thick vines lashed out and tied up the attackers.
"Spri~!"
Bellsprout immediately began absorbing energy, its body visibly recovering.
"Don't slack off," Icarus ordered. "Paralysis Powder. Lock them down and keep absorbing."
"Shushasha—"
Unable to move, the two Oddish became energy sources for Bellsprout.
Meanwhile, Pidgey methodically tore into its opponent, practicing claw strikes between Peck attacks.
"Oddish—!"
"Enough. Pidgey, finish it."
"Pfft!"
One final Peck ended the battle.
"Thud. Thud."
Bellsprout dropped the other two.

"Normal-level presence still deters most Pokémon on the outskirts," Icarus muttered while packing the materials. "Good thing Bellsprout can suppress its energy fluctuations."
Without concealing its aura, wild Pokémon would simply flee.
Soon, they hunted five more Oddish.
Target 4: Complete.
"Less than two hours. Strength really makes things easier," Icarus said with satisfaction. "Let's head back, process the materials, and buy Energy Crystals for Bellsprout."
"Spri spri! (＾▽＾)"
At the mention of Energy Crystals, Bellsprout beamed with excitement.
"Pidgey… (/＼)"
Pidgey looked slightly envious.
"Don't worry," Icarus said with a grin. "You'll get yours too. Once you're ready to evolve, I'll buy them for you as well."
"Pidgey! (づ●─●)づ"
Pidgey flapped happily.
With the mission complete, the trio returned to town in high spirits.
