Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 – Welcome to the Service Club

Yukinoshita Yukino, the High-Collared Flower of Sōbu High.

A perfectionist. A beautiful girl who possessed both looks and intelligence, excelling in academics and virtually every other field.

Her only flaw might be that she learned everything too quickly—at the cost of her stamina. In simple terms, she lacked endurance.

As a girl so outstanding that her excellence itself invited envy,

one week ago, with the help of Hiratsuka Shizuka, she founded a club known as the Service Club.

On one hand, it was to prove her capabilities to her mother and older sister.

On the other, having been isolated since childhood due to her overwhelming excellence, she wished to change others—and, in doing so, change this slightly twisted world.

Today, just like the days before, Yukinoshita Yukino sat alone in the room, quietly reading.

Until a sudden knock on the door interrupted her.

Her first thought was that it must be Hiratsuka Shizuka.

After all, even though she had established the Service Club to help others,

given her own social skills—and the club's extremely remote location—there was no way anyone other than Hiratsuka-sensei would come here.

But… if it were Hiratsuka Shizuka, why would she knock?

Recalling Hiratsuka-sensei's carefree personality—someone who never knocked and always burst in unannounced—Yukinoshita felt a headache coming on.

[Could it be that after all my reminders, Hiratsuka-sensei has finally learned to knock?

If I managed to make her knock, does that count as an achievement?]

Setting her book aside, Yukinoshita Yukino looked toward the door and spoke softly.

"Please come in."

As her words fell, the door slid open.

A boy wearing glasses, somewhat overweight, stepped inside.

Seeing him, Yukinoshita unconsciously frowned.

For some reason, she felt that his appearance gave off a slightly ominous vibe, and she instinctively leaned back a little.

That said, she was not someone who judged purely by appearance. She quickly adjusted her mindset and asked calmly:

"May I ask what business you have here?"

Tanaka Masao stared at the girl seated quietly by the window, beautiful like a painting, and froze.

He had already seen several of the main characters—each of them undeniably beautiful.

But Yukinoshita Yukino gave off a sense of perfection, as if she were flawless in every way… aside from her slightly flat chest.

Yukinoshita noticed that after entering, Tanaka Masao had been staring at her blankly.

She felt no surprise.

Boys being attracted by her appearance was nothing unusual. She was used to it.

She spoke up to remind him:

"Could you please put away that lewd, indecent gaze full of impure thoughts? I feel like I'm in danger."

As she said this, Yukinoshita even covered her chest with her hands.

Hearing her voice, Tanaka Masao finally snapped back to reality.

Alright—he had let his thoughts run a little wild just now. He'd practically already named their two hypothetical children.

Still, he was quite dissatisfied with Yukinoshita's chest-covering gesture.

He really hadn't been looking there.

Turning his head aside to keep his eyes from being drawn back to her, he spoke:

"Yukinoshita-san, hello. My name is Tanaka Masao, first-year Class D."

Yukinoshita had clearly sensed some hostility from him earlier, though she couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was.

Seeing him properly introduce himself, she nodded and chose not to pursue it further.

As for him knowing her name, she wasn't surprised. She had some confidence in her level of notoriety within the school.

"Tanaka-kun, what brings you here?"

She was genuinely curious. Though she didn't want to admit it, this place was so remote that no one but Hiratsuka Shizuka should realistically be coming here.

[Could he be a stalker?]

She had encountered stalkers before, but her family had always taken care of them.

So she wasn't particularly worried.

Naturally, Tanaka Masao couldn't say outright that he'd come specifically to see her. Fortunately, he'd already prepared an excuse.

"I was wandering around the school and noticed there were quite a few empty rooms here. I got curious and came to take a look. I didn't expect Yukinoshita-san to be here."

Yukinoshita accepted the explanation.

A bored student wandering campus, discovering an unfamiliar place, and stepping inside out of curiosity—it was perfectly reasonable.

A breeze slipped through the window, fluttering the curtains and gently stirring Yukinoshita's long hair.

She brushed her hair back lightly and said:

"Now that you've seen it, are you planning to leave—or would you like to sit and talk for a bit?"

This was the Service Club. Its purpose was to help others. Naturally, Yukinoshita wouldn't chase someone away.

And if Tanaka Masao happened to have a legitimate request, she could accept it.

She had founded the Service Club a week ago, and she was still quietly looking forward to her first request.

At her invitation, Tanaka Masao nodded and agreed.

He pulled up a chair and sat down about three meters away from her.

After he sat down, the room fell into silence.

Clearly, Yukinoshita had no intention of speaking first.

After about ten seconds, Tanaka Masao asked—despite already knowing the answer:

"Yukinoshita-san, what do you do in this room?"

Seeing that he went straight to the point, Yukinoshita didn't answer immediately. Instead, she responded with interest:

"Why don't you try guessing?"

"Hmm…"

Tanaka Masao thought for a moment before speaking:

"Yukinoshita-san used her powerful family background to pressure the teachers into clearing out an empty room, so she could have a quiet, comfortable place at school to read and eat."

For a brief moment, Yukinoshita's usually cool expression nearly cracked.

She wanted to refute him—but upon thinking it through, she realized he wasn't entirely wrong.

A powerful background: her father was a prefectural assemblyman, and her sister had a close relationship with Hiratsuka Shizuka.

Though her original intention was to create a club to help others, with no requests coming in, she did quite enjoy having a quiet room entirely to herself.

That said, she absolutely had not pressured Hiratsuka Shizuka into giving her this room.

…Probably not pressured.

After a few seconds of silence, Yukinoshita spoke:

"Tanaka-kun, please don't project your narrow-minded thinking onto this matter. I would never do something so tedious."

As she spoke, she closed the book resting on her knees and stood up.

Looking at Tanaka Masao, she walked toward him as she continued:

"When those with abundance, guided by compassion, give their surplus to those in need, people call them volunteers. Extending a helping hand to those in distress—that is the activity of the club I founded."

"Welcome to the Service Club."

Watching Yukinoshita Yukino standing there, arms crossed, long black hair swaying gently in the breeze,

Tanaka Masao felt his heart race.

[There it is—there it is. Yukinoshita Yukino's exclusive transition CG.]
