Aurelia City, IHC Tower
"Sir!"
The S-Rank leading the surveillance team spun around, having only ended his call with President Josiah a few seconds ago.
"What is it?"
"Reports from the SSS-Rank Rift that opened in Japan," The male personnel who called his attention zoomed out of Virginia's map, scrolling over to Japan—particularly Mount Fuji. "Look. We got intel that some members of the Pantheon only got there a few minutes ago."
"... And—wait." The older man shoved him aside for a better view. "Is this a glitch?"
He punched in a few buttons, hoping to fix whatever was making the black dot on the mountain shrink. But none of it worked; the dot only became smaller until it was nonexistent.
Just… Gone.
"What in the world?" He blinked, straightening again. "How… that's impossible."
An SSS-Rank Rift.
Suddenly appearing while they dealt with one here in the US… only for it to disappear like it was never there to begin with.
