"Aren?" Miu whispered.
But Stella noticed immediately, trying it herself. She raised a hand, trying the same thing. When the fire that was supposed to surface underneath her skin…didn't, she made the same expression.

"It's being suppressed," Aren cut in.
Oran looked at him, confused. "Suppressed? What does that mean? Something the matter?"
Right…since all these people are 'Blanks', they wouldn't realize if something was wrong with the place. Is it because of these talismans?
He caught his eyes drifting back to the interior, where talismans had been placed, too. Rows of them covered the beams, corners, and even the ceilings.
"These aren't purifying anything," Aren muttered.
The old man suddenly looked back. "What do you mean? Really, is something the matter?"
"Don't worry about it," Aren shook his head before glancing upward. "Are they upstairs?"
