"I don't really understand why you are so insistent on meeting with her. But, I will spare you the benefit of doubt and wouldn't ask why. You've proven your judgement before, and if you're sure that you know what you're doing, then I trust you."
Alex felt a massive wave of relief wash over him. He was genuinely happy that Nyx had agreed without asking a bunch of complicated questions or demanding proof of why he wanted to meet with Annie.
Her trust in him ran deeper than he realized, and he vowed not to let her down.
"Thank you, Nyx" he said sincerely.
"Come with me," Nyx said indifferently, turning on her heel and leading the way back inside.
