Chapter 52 - Chapter 52 : Shocked Goddess Nexus

Huo Ling'er nodded in agreement with Chi Huang. "Our apologies, Goddess. It's just that… well, our Sect Master has a very strict rule."

Chi Huang picked up the explanation, his face earnest. "Yes. Rule #37 of the sect's outer disciple handbook, which even elders must follow: 'Do not accept candy, unsolicited gifts, or citizenship tokens from strangers.'"

Silence.

A profound, galaxy-shattering, football-fitting silence.

Then, Nexus's perfect, cosmic face did something no one had ever seen it do before. It twitched. Her lips pursed. She looked utterly, completely flabbergasted.

"Strangers?" she repeated, her voice rising in pitch with incredulous amusement. "*Strangers*?!" She pointed a finger at herself.

"I am Nexus! I have a 99.999% recognition rating across 1.2 trillion sentient humans!" She then gestured vaguely at the sky.

"That Sect Master of yours… that reclusive, paranoid, infuriating man! He knows me better than the other thirteen sovereigns do! I even issued 7 , total 7 tokens of atleast rank 7 to your sect. He... he told you that I'm an outsider, even that rule you said was not their a few days ago!"

She let out an exasperated sigh, her divine composure completely gone, replaced by the pout of someone who had just been unfriended by their oldest acquaintance. She threw her hands up in the air.

"Fine! Fine! Be that way!" she huffed. She flicked her wrist, and the two 7th-tier citizenship tokens shot forward like bullets,

embedding themselves perfectly into Chi Huang's and Huo Ling'er's robes before they could react. "Tell that stubborn little man I said hi!"

And with a final, exasperated pout and a swirl of iridescent data, she vanished, leaving behind a sky that slowly stitched itself back to normal and a crowd of people whose understanding of the universe had been permanently broken.

Everyone stared at the two members of the Eternal Sect, who were now awkwardly examining the high-level citizenship tokens their Sect Master had apparently forbidden them from accepting.

The awe they felt for the Eternal Sect had now transcended into a realm of pure, mythic absurdity. Who in the cosmos was their Sect Master?

In the Eternal Sect,

While everyone was wondering who is this mysterious sect leader of the eternal sect. In the lavish courtyard of the Eternal peak ,

A 17 year old boy sitting in a chair making tea that his system gave him before.

It was peaceful all over the sect nowadays...

Evryone is Cultivating in their own courtyards or their respective rooms. Sometimes Huai announced a meeting and gave them some huge amount of resources for cultivation that system gave him for daily sign in ...

Suddenly a token flew out from his spirit pouch and floated before him . Huai looked at the 6th tier token of human federation and felt his heart beating again.

A ominous sign that he don't like at all . Last time this token flew out of it's own it brings the sect to limelight and gave it a 8th tier high grade sect qualification certificate, even gave two of his members Lin Feng and Jian Tian 7th grade federation verified human federation tokens ....

( Congratulations!

6th grade citizen of human federation, Eternal Sect master, Shen Huai.

Your fire peak direct disciple Huo Ling'er and fire peak elder Chi Huang contributed to humanity and solved the internal problems of human federation registered sects

and even contributed a forbidden emperor level Cultivation technique, myriad yin gathering technique.

Earned two 7 th tier citizenship token issued directly by, human federation.

The rest of the rewards are delivered at your designated location via teleportation array.)

Just by saying this and huge amount of rewards came out of the teleportation array of eternal sect and landed on the ground with a thud.

The token also flew back to huai and landed on his hand.

Huai just got froze at this moment. He even issued a new rule for their sect members to not accept particular items from anyone even nexus but nexus maybe forced them with that token like she did just now.....

He felt a headache that he didn't felt for long.huai sighed a long breadth, murmured to himself,

" they are all became strong now , just a two hours ago they wanted to protect me ...hehhe "

Huai smiled in his mind .

" System ! What do you think of my next step would be ?"

System didn't gave him any response at all . Huai also didn't expect a answer from this system at all.

He knows system don't like nexus at all , even don't want to see her ever . So whenever she shows up he'd get angry or atleast show jealousy in his face all over.

The Southern Region was a realm painted in bold, generous strokes. Unlike the harsh, competitive austerity of the West, the South was magnanimous.

Its spiritual energy was rich and thick, not a treasure to be fought over but an ocean to be bathed in. The cities were vibrant, sprawling tapestries of commerce and culture,

where the scent of exotic spices from a thousand different worlds mingled with the clean, sharp aroma of high-grade spiritual herbs.

Through the bustling heart of Sunstone City walked a figure who did not belong.

He was a young man, no older than eighteen, yet he moved with the predatory grace and soul-deep weariness of a veteran who had seen the rise and fall of empires.

He wore a simple, impeccably tailored black general's uniform, a stark contrast to the colorful silks and embroidered robes of the Southern cultivators.

It was a garment made for war and authority, not for leisurely strolls through a marketplace. Strapped to his back, its hilt peeking over his shoulder, was a long black blade in a simple, unadorned sheath.

It radiated no aura, yet its very presence seemed to absorb the light around it, a sliver of absolute nothingness in a world of vibrant color.

His short black hair was cut in a practical, wolfish style, framing a face that was devastatingly handsome but marred by a perpetual, cold indifference.

This was Yan Wuhe, a name unknown to the world, yet a being whose power could have subjugated this entire region with a single, focused thought.

At the tender age of eighteen, he stood at the terrifying peak of the Immortal Emperor realm. He was a living calamity, a walking apocalypse, and he was utterly, miserably bored.

His cold, dark eyes, which had witnessed the collapse of Daos and the birth of new laws, were not focused on the priceless treasures being hawked by merchants or the powerful auras of the local experts.

They were scanning faces. Methodically, tirelessly, he scanned the face of every person who passed him by,

his gaze lingering for a fraction of a second on their eyes before moving on, a flicker of disappointment so subtle it was imperceptible.

He was hunting for a ghost. A memory. A pair of eyes.

"Light brown," his mind whispered, the thought a constant, unending mantra. "Like warm honey in the morning sun. Calm, gentle, and holding an ancient apology."

It had been months since his ascent. Months of wandering from city to city, realm to realm, across the vast, magnanimous expanse of the Southern Region.

He had followed the flow of cultivators, the trade routes, the migration of spiritual beasts, all on the gossamer-thin hope of finding a single person whose name he did not know,

whose face he had never seen, and whose only identifiable feature was the color of their eyes, glimpsed for a mere moment through a veil.

A voice, crisp and robotic, echoed only in his mind.

[ System Quest: 'An Echo in the Void' ]

[ Objective: Locate the mysterious individual from the Forbidden Mountain. ]

[ Progress: 2.7% - Region Scanned. ]

[ Reward: ??? ]

[ Penalty for Failure: ??? ]

Yan Wuhe's jaw tightened. "Stupid system," he grumbled internally.

He had been given this "Great Training System" upon his birth, a miraculous cheat that had guided his every step, pushing him to a level of power that defied all logic.

It had given him tasks, from surviving in desolate worlds to mastering impossible techniques. He had completed every one with cold, brutal efficiency.

But this quest… this one was different. It was vague, illogical, and frustratingly personal. It felt less like a training exercise and more like a cosmic prank.

He ducked into a teahouse, taking a seat in a secluded corner that offered a clear view of the bustling street.

As the attendant placed a steaming cup of jasmine-infused spiritual tea before him, his mind, as it always did in these quiet moments, drifted back to that day on the mountain.

The Forbidden Mountain of the Western Region. It was a place where the spiritual energy of the world was so violent and chaotic it felt like breathing glass shards.

A place where spatial cracks were as common as pebbles, and the lingering battle intent of fallen gods could drive even an Immortal Lord to madness.

It was, according to his system, the perfect place to perfect the final form of his '9 Sun Blade God' technique.

During his practice his immortal wolf bloodline that he get in this birth flared up and he vomitted blood. And the space itself shook a gentle way and that mysterious guy came out of the void ...

That sky blue robe, slender figure , beautiful long black hair and those light brown eyes , and a white veiled face he can't forget a single thing at all.

The guy even apologized to him for intrusion but the next moment corrected his forms and disappeared again after an apology.

He tried to find that guy from then on."My apologies for disturbing your practice," the gentle voice said, still laced with that same inexplicable apology.

And with a single, graceful step, the figure dissolved back into the void, leaving Yan Wuhe standing alone on the mountain peak, his blade feeling heavy and crude in his hand for the first time in his life.

He had stood there for a full day, replaying that single moment, that single touch, that single piece of advice.

He had achieved his breakthrough and more, his power soaring, his mastery of the blade reaching a conceptual level he hadn't known was possible.

But something else had happened. Something his system had no data on. A strange, hollow ache had settled in his chest.

The thrill of power was gone, replaced by a quiet, persistent yearning. The cold indifference that had defined his existence now had a single point of warmth in its center: the memory of two light brown eyes.

He, Yan Wuhe, the emotionless weapon, the peerless Emperor, had felt the first stirrings of something frighteningly human.

He wanted to see those eyes again. He wanted to know why they looked so apologetic. He wanted to hear that voice again.

He shook his head, pushing the memory away as he took a sip of his now-lukewarm tea. It was a pointless obsession.

A fool's errand given to him by a "stupid system." And yet, as he placed the cup down and his gaze drifted back to the endless river of faces flowing past the teahouse window,

he continued his search, forever hunting for a pair of warm, honey-brown eyes in a world that suddenly felt far too big and far too empty.

He wouldn't stop searching for that guy ever in his life until he find him . He have a goal in his heart this time and he'll fullfill that goal no matter how much he had to find him .

He already searched western ,northern and eastern region before now he's searching this southerns region .maybe he'll be able to find him this time ...
