Accompanied by Harold and Mirella, Sienna walked toward the moat.
The three stopped at the edge and looked down.
The water glimmered with an unnatural green sheen. The current still flowed, yet the color remained unchanged, eerie and stubborn, like poison that had sunk into the very bones of the water.
Mirella narrowed her eyes.
"The water is moving, yet the toxicity remains strong," she said. "The source may be the underground lake."
Sienna nodded. "Grandma Mirella, draw up a sample. I want the Spatial Farm to analyze it."
Mirella raised her hand and chanted softly.
A sphere of water lifted from the moat, suspended in the air like a trembling crystal orb.
Sienna sent it into the Spatial Farm.
At once, the familiar voice sounded in her mind.

Relief washed through her.
