Years passed more quietly than I ever expected.
Life eventually settled into a routine.
Most mornings started the same way. Waking up beside Anathasia, making breakfast while she complained about the amount of paperwork Carthanalenia kept sending from whatever planet she was currently visiting.
Teaching also became easier over time. The first few months were rough, but eventually I found my rhythm. Some students improved. Some didn't. But every now and then, a few would genuinely try.
And honestly... that was enough.
Outside the house, the world continued moving forward as usual.
Meanwhile, somewhere far beyond this planet, civilizations still rose and fell. Gods still argued over authority. Entire universes shifted like pieces on a board.
But none of that really mattered to us anymore.
Not today.
Because right now-
"Hey," Anathasia called from the kitchen.
"You're burning the eggs again."
I sighed, pushing myself up from the couch.
"I'm coming."
And just like that...
another ordinary day began.
