Chapter 15 - Results

During this hell—I mean this week—

I trained intensely under the guidance of that devil. He gave me very little time to rest during the exercises, and whenever he was in a bad mood, he would increase the difficulty of my training or reduce my rest time

.

During this hell, I trained from morning till night, almost without rest. I pushed my body to its limits repeatedly. My muscles were renewed, torn, and becoming stronger. I repeated this process from morning till night, and I could feel my muscles tearing and renewing, but most importantly, they were becoming stronger and tougher.

And that despicable devil, Odin, whenever I got used to the exercises and could endure them more, he would increase the difficulty of the exercises until I reached 3500 repetitions for each exercise, and the running was for more than 500 kilometers. He was utterly vile and cruel.

Odin watched the boy train in awe. Cyrus's physical limits were strong and not easily surpassed. He adapted quickly to the training, forcing Odin to make it harder each time and distract him with silly jokes and mockery.

'Hmm, Cyrus is truly a miracle. His physical strength is beyond my imagination, and what's more, his adaptation speed is truly formidable and frightening. His physique is extremely rare. Unfortunately, if I had my eyes, I would have discovered his exact build.'

The first three days were hell because of Odin's annoying behavior, but I adapted quickly and got used to the routine. What made it a little harder, however, was the increase in the number of repetitions.

on the fourth day

Cyrus was barely standing, exhausted. "Odin, let's take a half-hour break,"

he gasped. Odin replied angrily, "No, you must continue training. Now finish your workout."

"Ugh!" I desperately continued my training. It was arduous and exhausting for my body; every muscle screamed in pain and begged me to stop.

This was my routine during these days.

On the last day,

"Okay, okay, let's take a short break," Odin said, his expression provocative.

"Finally, finally!" After those words, I went and lay down in the shade of the palm tree.

Then Odin spoke again, saying, "Cyrus, who is Osman, and why have you been so afraid of him all this time?"

I opened my eyes and looked at him. "Hmm, the Round City, as its name suggests, is a round city with three parts, each with a specific class of wealth. The outer part is full of poor or middle-class people. The middle part is full of wealthy merchants, and the inner part is full of the fabulously rich."

"Hmm, what a class-based city, so meticulous in its classification of inhabitants. But that still doesn't answer my question."

"And in the outer part, where we are, Osman is the only rich one, and his wealth is comparable to that of the merchants in the middle part."

Odin looked at him with understanding. "Hmm, dirty money, then."

"Yes, dirty money. That bastard, it's said he used to support bandits so they could rob people, and he would take a share of the stolen goods. He traded in people, that scoundrel."

"Hmm, so that's the source of his wealth. And with secrets like that, his palace must be very well protected. Hmm, realizing this makes things even more difficult. Damn it."

"There's nothing we can do. Not everything a person wishes for comes true. Things don't always go as planned."

.....

By the sixth day, things had become a little easier, and I was getting used to it. My body felt lighter and better, and even my muscles started to define. I felt incredibly light.

At dawn, Odin was looking at the sweat-covered, panting boy. He said, "Hmm, good job, kid. You pushed yourself to the limit, and in a week you managed to achieve this good result."

"Huh? Good, huh?" I was panting heavily, and then I said,

"Status Window." A slightly bright purple screen popped up with the text...

Oden commented on the status window, "Good, at least your mortality rate is 50%."

"Ha, damn it, your stats have gone up more than we expected because of how hard you were during training."

"That's good, kid."

Two hours later, I returned to the headquarters. Asars looked extremely rushed and nervous, almost drowning in his sweat. "Hey, you rascal, come quickly."

"Hmm, something must be going on to make this knife so rushed and flustered."

"Hmm, what's wrong, Asars? Why do you look like that?"

He ignored me and didn't reply. He was walking very fast and panting.

When we arrived at his office, I felt an extremely suffocating atmosphere and a chill ran down my spine. Asars's face was very confused, which made me fear who was in the office and whose mere presence made Asars so frightened and confused.

Asars slowly opened the door and entered with his head bowed, and I followed him. I looked towards the desk to find out who this person was who made him so afraid. Then Asars said in a confused and hesitant tone, "This is the boy who will carry out the mission."

I looked, and the man was tall and dressed in black, with long hair that fell to his waist. His face was handsome but very rough, and there were several scars on his mouth, eye, forehead, and nose. His appearance was very imposing. From his gaze, you could tell that he was a very strong and experienced warrior. I felt a chill run through my entire body, as if I were prey before a predator.

Then the man looked at me coldly and said in a solemn tone, "Hmm, so you are the one who will carry out the task." Then a look of surprise appeared in the man's eyes for a moment, but it disappeared. Then he continued his speech, "Hmm, your physical build is good."

Odin noticed his gaze. "Hey, this man's gaze towards you was strange. It seems he noticed something about you."

Hmm. 'Huh? And what could he possibly notice about me?' Cyrus thought in alarm,

but he was smart enough not to show it on his face. Then he walked until he stood in front of me. He was very tall; I could reach his shoulder,

and his gaze was harsh. 'If you succeed in this mission, I will make you join the Black Dagger faction.'

The atmosphere in the room was very suffocating because of the words 'Black Dagger.'

'What is the Black Dagger faction?' Cyrus thought in alarm because whatever the Black Dagger faction was, it was not good because

Asarus's reaction was not good. He was very afraid of just mentioning the name.
