She knocked until the door was finally opened,
Ana was stunned to see the person behind the door.
"Gwen, what are you doing here?" Ana asked with a faint smile.
But what exactly was her best friend doing at her boyfriend's house.
"Excuse me who are you?" Gwen said with disgusted stare.
"Baby come in already, who have you been talking to" jason whispered from the background before coming to meet them at the door.
"I don't even know why am wasting my time talking to this poor girl" Gwen said before spitting opposite Ana.
After hearing that Jason had to come check who Gwen was talking to.
"Jason" I thought you said you aren't around, and why are you calling this lady your baby.
"I can explain" he uttered, before fixing is gaze on the floor.
"I can't believe this, I trusted you why would you do such a thing to me.
"I'm sorry Ana, you just had a lot of problems and I just wanted to take a break from all that" Jason said, and Ana began crying softly as Gwen stared at her with a satisfied expression.
Gwen decided to add some more on what Jason couldn't finish.
"You are pretty and all but you aren't all that" gwen proclaimed bitterly.
"He doesn't want you so just move on and focus on yourself okay honey" she uttered.
They exchanged cold glances before ana began running away,and to her suprise Jason didn't follow her.
So maybe all that was true, maybe she was really a burden to him.
As she walked the streets she began remembering the times she would go to Gwen's house when she was hungry, and gwen will give her some food for both her and her dad.
But when she thought even deeper she could remember some looks she gave her, nasty looks.
Buts she ignored since she was the only close friend she had.
But for Jason, he was not from a very poor background.
After high school he was able to do things for himself.
"How could you even treat a person like this"
Ana whispered to herself.
"I know that I can't treat a person like this, you know what, I'm going to runaway all on my own."
She decided, but didn't know where to start from exactly.
So she went to a place she remembered, a place she was treated so nicely.
She used to buy things from a particular woman's shop, and anytime she went there the woman was so nice.
And could still remember what she told her the last time she went to her shop.
"I wish I had a daughter like you" those words rang in Ana's head like a bell.
"Bingo, I will just go there instead"
Ana uttered silently to herself before walking miles until she finally got there.
But unfortunately the shop was closed, but Ana layed on the floor and before she knew her eyelids grew heavy and she closed her eyes shut.
The next morning, a lady came and tapped her gently.
"Who are you, and what are you doing at my shop" she asked.
Ana woke up up in fear, she thought it was something else's that was there to take her.
"Who, who are you" Ana asked, but she became calm after seeing who it was.
"Ana, stand up" the lady requested
"Miss jasmine" Ana exclaimed
"Sorry for startling you, but why are you on the floor of my shop." the lady asked with a confused expression on her face.
"Long story, and I can't go home"
"Please may I sleep on the floor of you shop every night until I find a place to stay" Ana pleaded with folded hands.
"No honey you can't am sorry"
The lady uttered and Ana turns away.
"Because it's not safe for you, you may come and stay in my house until you are ready to move out" the lady uttered with a smile.
She was a single woman who wasn't able to marry because of some medical reasons, so she stayed alone and was sometimes lonely.
Ana jumped and hugged her, "that's the least I can do, you have been such a sweet girl ever since I met you, and you have gone far in helping me to clean my shop sometimes" The lady uttered.
She then leads the way and Ana follows up behind.
After a few minutes of walking they finally got to their destination.
"Let me just get my keys from my purse" the lady says softly.
"Wow your house looks awesome" Ana exclaimed, her eyes shimmering in amusement.
"Make yourself at home, let me just get you some food to eat."
Ana sat on the chair and began looking around.
They were childhood photos of jasmine all around her house, and a particular one got ana's attention and she stood up to check it out properly.
"And who is this man holding her in his arms" Ana asked herself.
"Ohh you saw that" jasmine interrupts.
"I'm sorry for Intruding, I didn't mean to" Ana exclaimed before hanging the photo back.
"Ohh no it's fine"
"Well life isn't fair, he was the love of my life and the only one who truly loved and cared for me despite knowing about my rare condition."
"But sadly he passed away due to some reasons Noone knew about,I just received a call that his body was found on his apartment floor, and ever since then I was unable to fall in love again" jasmine says with a faint expression on her face.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything" ana says.
"Just have this cookies and fresh milk, after that you will freshen up and when done am going to give you some fresh clothes." Jasmine declared.
Ana rushed her food as if she hadn't eaten for days, she then went to take a warm bath.
The cloth she had on had little rips all round, and when she saw the dresses miss jasmine had layed down for her on the bed her cheeks lit up.
"Ohh my this is so beautiful, all this are so nice" Ana proclaimed.
Two days passed and everything seemed good for Ana, she helped with the household chores and helped shopkeeping as well, the two got along pretty good.
Her dad didn't hear from her and was worried as well.
The third day passed and it was evening time and it was raining as well, she didn't follow jasmine to the shop that day.
Ana began going scrolling through social media before an incoming call came in.
