Adira struggled to open her eyes as she regain her conscious. Mina was sleeping with her head on her bed while sitting on a chair.
Adira forced a smile, in this whole life,Mina is the only one who truly cares for her unconditionally.
She searched the room with a tiny little hope that her family will be there but no, no one is here.
She is sure that Mina must have tried to contact them because of the hospital protocol. So it's either they picked the call ,got to know the reason but still didn't come or they didn't even answer the call at all.
A fleeting pang of pain passed through her heart. All those years she knows that her family never liked her no matter what she do but she didn't expect that even on her sick bed they refuse to show up.
She closed her eyes and forced the tears that is threatening to come back.
Mina woke up amidst of the Adira being lost in her thoughts. "Ira( short name for Adira) , you are up. How are you feeling, are you thirsty or hungry. Should I get some food for you", Mina asked with worried face.
Adira watched her friend talk and suddenly burst into tears.
Mina panicked," Ira , why are you crying, are you feeling pain anywhere"
Adira shook her head as she hugged Mina and said,
"Thank you Mina for being with me all this years . Thank you babe"
" It's ok Ira , but you are welcome anyway"
Mina said with her usual self making Ira shakes her head. This friend of her will never change.
" By the way Ira, I called your parents and sister but no one picked up the phone. I even used your phone to call them but no one answered nor called back "
"It's okay Mina, leave them. We are in our last year, let's focus on ourselves rather okay. I will be fine Mina, we will be fine okay "
Mina looks at her friend and hugs her again.
" Yes Ira, we will fine"
She said giggling with with each other.
Across the hall, Lola is getting prepared for her IUI . The sperm had been treated and sterilize for the procedure. Collin is also preparing for process so it's has left with the nurse to bring the sperm to start. Lola is smiling and grinning ear to ear busily in her day dream, imagining her days as Aarez wife and mother of his children not knowing the commotion outside.
The nurse bringing the sterilized sperms walks in hurry as she is late. She didn't check as she turned to the corner and bumped into the nurse who was going to give injections to Adira. Things fall down, both nurse mutters sorry to each other while picking up the scattered things and left without checking.
Collin look at the drug in the tiny and look the nurse who is busily doing her work and smirks. It's seems God is not on your side Lola, he thought.
" Here comes your sperms Lola"
Collin said while rejoicing inside.
"This will be fun".
