In the world of Epho. There are three continents in total, the continent of Gaia, it is located in the middle part, on the north onwards is the continent of Alc, and to the east is the continent of Mue.
Gaia is where most of humans live and within Gaia there are four kingdoms. The kingdom of Balbatos, mainly it is where humans built their sanctuaries so you can say it is the most populated kingdom.
The kingdom of Pearl is located near the ocean it is commonly known as the city of trade because of its location.
The kingdom of Elpz is known for its treats and dairy goods mostly royalties gave favor to the kingdom because of its sweets.
Lastly the kingdom of Enaphin, naturally in order for a settlement to be called a kingdom. It needs a king or a ruler, however the kingdom of Enaphin doesn't have one instead, they have a mage as it's ruler. This kingdom is where 80 percent of the mage are born and being trained.
If you are a mage, you are to be considered an asset of a kingdom. In order to become a mage you must enter the test of kinship in the kingdom of Enaphin. Although, there are many who has the affinity to magic, few are really chosen.
A mage pride is their name and their title as a mage. It is expected for a mage to be useful in a certain kingdom.
Few are also made their name carved and etched in history books.
The mage of the early age Emeth, he who developed the very foundation of magic of the new era.
The witch of the Belian forest, a very powerful mage who is famous for her potions.
And the mage who rejected his cause and duty. The worst mage, and the traitor of mankind. The wandering mage, Sol Omon.
A few kilometers away from the town of Luin. A man is catching his breath, walking heavily. He is panting so much that you can hear his breath from a distant.
" Why is the weather so hot! I can't believe I am reduce to this kind of state! Damn those dragons my mana is depleted. I can't walk any longer"
The man collapsed to the ground with a dramatic thud. The sun is scorching his head, his wooden staff is laying on the ground.
" Excuse me? Hey old man! I SAID HEY OLD MAN!!!"
The kid shouted! The man looked pitiful and he tried to look up, only to see a kid with orange hair. Broken tooth on his lower teeth. And a loud smirk.
" You're dying old man! I'll dig a grave for you so pay me!"
The man stopped looking. He is dead eye looking at the kid.
" You punk!!!! I'm not dying! I'm just resting!"
He shouted like a maniac although he can't even use his feet to move.
" Old man, you can't even move though. How unlucky I thought you're dying. Just when I thought I finally have some money to buy myself a food"
You can hear the "tsk" of the kid at the end of his tongue. He is tapping his finger in his head like he's trying to plot something.
" If you need some money help me stand and take me to the shade of that tree over there"
The man pointed. His fingers is shivering from mana depletion.
" Alright old man but you better pay me alright!"
Just like that the kid actually drag the man into the shade of the tree like a rag doll. When the man finally taken into the shade he signed so deep that it feels like he escaped death on a whim
" Old man, where's my pay?"
" You punk! Wait a minute!"
The man meditated for a second. Then a minute, then an hour, then hours.
" OI OLD MAN!!! WHERES MY PAY!! IVE BEEN WAITING HERE FOR THREE HOURS!!!"
Suddenly, the man opened his eyes. Somehow the kid felt something strange. He felt like the old man he's talking is now fully revived by something unexplainable.
" Alright I'm fully recharged, thanks to you kid I survived HAHAHAHA"
A loud laughed echoed where the two is standing.
" Quit laughing and give me my pay!"
" You impatient brat! Here."
The man handed a pouch of money. It is heavy and it looks like it has a lot.
" Old man this is too much!!! I can't take it!!"
For a second, the man gazed at the confused kid.
" It's fine take it, I have more of it so there's no issue or anything"
The man winked at the kid. Before the man could take his step to walk away the kid grabbed his clothes, the tip of his robe.
" OLD MAN! WHATS YOU'RE NAME?"
The man looked back at the curious kid. His eyes is beaming with questions. Maybe he wanted to know who this man who have a lot of money who looks like he's dying is even doing here.
" Hmmmm, I'm just an old man. But I do have a name it's been too long I almost forgotten it. My name is Sol. The wandering mage Sol Omon"
The kid blinked in confusion. He tries to comprehend the name but he can't. He's a kid who only knows how to survive so the name Sol Omon is foreign to him.
" Sol Omon? What a crappy name old man HAHAHAH" The kid laughed.
" I know right, my name is boring so what's yours brat?" Sol asked while staring intently at the poor kid.
" My name is Meruno! "
" Meruno? Hmmm, where's your parent?" Sol asked.
In the middle of the road, the odds of finding a kid with a parent is bizzare. But finding only a kid is even more concerning.
" I don't have one old man. I live alone to wherever the wind takes me" the kid answered with so much innocence that he might not even realized that he is alone.
" Aren't you sad? You have no one else?" Sol added.
" Not at all, because I believe wherever the wind blows lies where I go! "
Sol was shocked at the wisdom of Meruno. He was a kid but he definitely knows his situation but choses not to despair about it. Instead he chose to use it to live happy.
Sol sighed and he smiled.
" Meruno, do you want to come with me? Join me in my adventure, I promise there's a lot of things our there that you deserve to see with your own eyes. Trust this old man, he will make you even more happy"
