Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: AETHEL PROJECT -001; MEETING OF THE 4 KINGS

A new project was born at the institute, it challenges any type of traditional science, it is not limited to the reason for creation and evolution. It is not a simple experiment, it is not a simple data collection or a mathematical theorem; An investigation born from the doubt and pain of a scientist, the latter, upon observing the passionate romance of a couple, as well as their betrayal and breakup, is forced to witness the ruin of the mind and life of the affected person. A strange, fascinating and painful feeling for the Duke, understanding that the life of his bloodline could not be helped by something that is not understandable in any way.

Aethelgard was his only escape route, the jewel of architecture as cutting-edge technology, wrapped in that imperial Gothic style, gave him his escape of peace, between laboratories, infinite ceilings, structural details and cosmos data. It is there that he, the Soon Duke of Alistair Valerius, decided to present an ambitious proposal; Aethel-001 Project/ Epistol Methods.

Alistair was in the large hall of his observatory, Silver's sanctuary (as it was repeatedly called), which was his personal office. From the top of the academy, the glass windows projected all the images of the Cosmos itself, these were projected between the windows and the floor, wherever you could turn you would find a sea of stars and data.

That specific night, the room that itself is a chaos of papers and data, now there was a different touch, Alister's appearance looked anxious, exhausted, as if everything he was doing should work, not to finish, not to be rejected, an unusual shine in his eyes awaited a feeling of change, anxious, nervous but hopeful. The office smelled of its masculine fragrance, the herbal touch with light touches of wood filled the icy place of the office, the ticking sounded rhythmic - Calloway's masterpiece - the feverish scratching of the pen against the paper, the mixture of writing and desperation went in the same rhythm, sensibly but together with the raw desperation present.

Time was moving, there was little time left for the meeting of the titans. The meeting that would change their lives, the lives of each one, the power of the four was vast, that not even the crown itself would dare to interfere, but this was different, far beyond titles, power, and games. This for Alistair was the help of his friends, the help of his companions, the pieces that could help them understand the decisions made by his own blood, and this project needed the most brilliant minds in the empire.

When the sun began to filter through the windows, giving way to night, two firm knocks resonated on the door. Enter Julian Sterling, his friend, the madman of forbidden archeology and ancient linguistics, who has made him spend more than once on some deposit on another continent. His walk was calm, carrying an old book of the odyssey, it seemed as if he had all the time in the world, but Alister just by seeing the black bags under his eyes, knew that that book had kept him awake again, trying to discover something else.

Shortly after, a thunderous noise echoed nearby, and soon the arrival of Maximilian Thorne, the savage of the group, was announced, and that sharp look detonated that his experiments in biotechnology and combined genetics were causing problems. Behind him, with an elegant and annoyed gesture, was Sebastian Calloway, the genius of robotic and artificial intelligence, which has made the empire grow in power, although his face showed absolute annoyance with a gleam of hunger in his eyes.

The time had finally come, Alistar Valerius, an expert in Astrophysics and Cosmology, was going to face the greatest challenge of his life, presenting his project. Although his guests seemed curious and interested, everything depended on the crazy project he was going to show them. He needed this to understand the madness and sad end of his prize Seraphine.

With a cold and almost surgical speed he handed the file on the obsidian table, the title shone with menace, as if it were poison.

"Research proposal: The Epistolary protocol; joint emotions."

"I need you to listen to me until the end," Alistar said. "I need help with this project." And yes, it is because of Seraphine, but there is something else, something that I mentioned to see after that, we have... We have money, science, weapons, power, we all have it..., but romance is a variable that we have always avoided, that is not in the field of any of us... And that is why I couldn't help my cousin.— Alistar declared with determination. —

—And do you want...? — Thorne's voice was cut off, when he looked at the first data of the project, he soon raised his gaze to Alistar; which caused the others to finally open the document.

—Have you lost your mind? Calloway asked.

—No, but I know that they are the only ones who could help me with this, without compromising emotions, marriages, or possible paternal frauds.— Alistair expressed.

"Wait... I mean, we're in a relationship?" Julian asked.

—Well, we would be two couples, each one would be with another. They will only be letters..., just that. - Alistar commented - do the second stage, - he muttered that too quietly, for anyone's liking, but Julian quickly moved each sheet of the asset.

"Ha," Julian mocked. —This is not just letters, here there is even a degree of intimacy beyond any situation we have been through. —

—Well, I don't have sexual preferences, but this doesn't look very promising with an uptight don.— Maximilian mocked.

—Am I stretched? Ha, please, the only one who cares so much about what lasts is someone else," Julian returned.

"Gentlemen," Alister called attention. "We are a gentleman of logic, of pure science, without data we will not doubt, our emotions are steel, they will not interfere with a few simple letters or touches, this is something beyond although I doubt there will be any intellectual problem." He mocked.

After this, and a brief exchange of friendly banter, about the fragility of who, and who fell in love first, the four finally signed to start the project. Alistair took the log and wrote fluently "July 17, 65, the experiment has begun."

FILE: AETHEL-001 (EXECUTION ANNEX)

Distribution of study pairs.

Four test subjects, the experiment is divided into two axes of synchrony. Type A axles (Valerius and Calloway); Type B axes (Thorne and Sterling), division process to maximize the emotional and analytical friction of the subjects:

ALPHA COUPLE: ECLIPSE

Subjects: Alistar Valerius & Sebastian Calloway

Objective:

Analysis of heart rates.

Analysis of emerging emotions. (Micro-expressions Record)

Response actions.

Exchange dynamics (Stage I): The process is carried out through the first stage of sensible courtship. Subjects are prohibited from speaking unless they are purely academic matters. After this, only the stimulation of actions generates written mendicants.

Scented Papers: use of fragrances to represent physical presence and attach desire over time.

Special Inks: Use of chemically reacting pigment, for secrets and interlaces.

Courtesy Gifts: Minimalist details, small but precise, perfect for emotional anchor.

Stage II 'Proximity action theorem'

Phase two of seated courtship, this aspect is left behind, along with the rules of isolation. The small physical contact begins, you have casual, more intense glances, as if at the same time noticing the absence of the other.

The change; More intense letters, more reflective of a desire or desire for that moment, you can detail photos or more intimate images.

Dynamics; exchange of clothes, exchange of another's valuable object, or the fragrance, waiting for the longing.

Analysis: Heart rates, vacuum emotion recording, the severity of the emotion.

Stage III - CRITICAL SYNCHRONY (DETERMINED IN STAGE I AND II - WAITING FOR DEVELOPMENTS)

"We cannot change, we cannot allow this experiment to be discovered, least of all by the heart of the crown, it is a legal experiment, but feasible to put pressure on."
