"Weird guy."
Jane Foster, out doing astrophysics fieldwork with an elderly Dr., stared at the man who'd flown several meters after her car hit him and merely lay unconscious. She and her friends were stunned; kind-hearted Jane insisted on driving him to hospital.
"Eighty miles an hour and he's got barely a scratch—he's built like a monster. Scared me half to death."
Her friend drummed the wheel, recalling how she'd accidentally floored the accelerator to 120, certain she'd killed him.
"He's got to be mental—wandering the desert at night, not even trying to dodge. His brain must be broken."
The assistant wedged in the corner by the big man's bulk grumbled; lifting him had nearly thrown out his back.
"We hit him; we're not leaving him to die out here. Hospital first, then we regroup with the Dr."
"Right."
Yet as Jane glanced in the mirror she wondered—no houses for miles, no vehicle in sight. Walking the desert after dark was suicide; venomous snakes and scorpions lurked everywhere.
They were completely unaware that a pair of pitch-black ravens was circling above them, their eyes fixed on the vehicle Thor was in, never showing any intention of leaving.
"Odin's two birds... he really loves his son enough."
Finding Thor was far too simple; the presence of these two birds was already very conspicuous. Especially within Artoria's intuition, the two ravens carried a thick divine pressure. This pressure caused the dormant Dragon Factor within Artoria's body to riot; even as a clone, she could feel the battle intent within her bloodline.
"You destroyed my clone. Even if I need teaching, it should be my parents doing it; it's not Odin's turn yet."
Within those holy emerald-green eyes, the human irises vanished, replaced by chillingly cold Beast pupils that took over the eyes of Artoria's clone. If her original body hadn't arrived yet, she would have gone up to roast some meat already. With the Dragon Eyes open, Artoria saw the dark night as if it were day, and even more surprisingly, she discovered a certain disguised Loki.
"Something interesting is about to happen."
After discovering Loki's figure, Artoria didn't make a move. She quietly watched the two ravens acting as Odin's eyes. If she didn't take these two guys out, then everything she did would be discovered by Odin. Striking from the shadows was the way to go, but unfortunately, she hadn't pulled the Assassin's basic skill 'Presence Concealment.' Otherwise, she would have gone out to play long ago.
"Where did the Ancient One go? Why hasn't she shown up? Asgard has come to Earth, and as the big boss of Earth and the Sorcerer Supreme, why hasn't she appeared?"
Thinking of that woman who was forced into a scripted death and fell to her end, Artoria lamented. Was it really as she thought, that the Ancient One hadn't moved? If Artoria's mental power was strong enough, perhaps after several thousand years of cultivation, she could enter that Mirror Dimension that no one could break into. At this moment, the Ancient One's spirit body was expressionlessly looking at the spirit body of Odin before her; the two big bosses just quietly stared at each other.
"Say something, Sorcerer Supreme."
Odin spoke without any self-awareness. He had no sense of being an intruder at all, acting as if this were his back garden where he could come and go as he pleased. Speaking of which, he truly was Thor's Father; even in old age, though much of his hot blood had faded, the divine arrogance in his bones was not diminished at all. This seemed to be a common phenomenon in Asgard. They didn't necessarily look down on others, but when meeting an Earthling, they would still call them a Midgardian or a mortal.
"What have you come for, Odin?"
She didn't show excessive respect to Odin. She was an Earthling, not Odin's subject, nor his believer. Furthermore, the relationship between Asgard's god race and Earth's mages was not very good. Back then, when Odin and Hela campaigned in all directions, Earth was one of the hardest hit. Without any ability to resist, they were conquered. However, that shameful period of history had passed; she was now completely unafraid of Odin.
"Watch your tone, Sorcerer Supreme. I am not here to start a war."
He was very dissatisfied with the Ancient One's tone of questioning him as an equal. When he was conquering the Nine worlds and fighting with the living tribunal, you, Ancient One, were not even in this world yet. Back when he encountered the beautiful goddess Jord (the incarnation of Gaia) on Earth, it was such a beautiful place. Now it had been turned into such a foul mess by humans. To be honest, if it weren't for the good memories and the fact that it was 'weak' here, he wouldn't have thrown Thor here.
"Odin, you've released both of your poorly disciplined sons. Aren't you afraid they'll be beaten to death by others outside? You wouldn't even have a single heir left then."
The Ancient One wasn't angry. She had dealt with the people of Asgard long ago, so she naturally understood that Odin's attitude could already be considered very amiable. If it were Odin's two sons here, they would surely say something like, 'Midgardian, for slighting the Asgardian god race, you shall receive divine punishment,' acting in such a hate-inducing manner. Thus, Odin really had become much more amiable.
"..."
The Ancient One's words were heart-piercing. To what extent? Seeing Odin's remaining eye almost bulging out was enough to know just how heart-piercing they were.
"Calculating the time, it seems Ragnarok is about to arrive, right? Mr. Odin Borson."
The Ancient One's words were undoubtedly like cutting Odin's heart again and rubbing salt in the wound.
"Are you leaving, Mr. Odin? Remember to take your pets with you."
Odin's spirit body, nearly fainting from anger, began to blur. Seeing this, a trace of a smile curled on the Ancient One's lips. Meanwhile, she drew a small circle with her hand. Under the gaze of Artoria's clone, a golden circle instantly appeared, ensnaring the two ravens before vanishing.
"The Great Ancient One is mighty!"
Artoria's clone offered her respect to this unsurprising act of kicking someone out. But soon, Artoria's clone began to move. The big boss had acted; it was time to start beating the little brat.
