Chapter 89 - author note #3 (not a chapter)

I wanted to take a moment to properly talk about something instead of just mentioning it in the author's notes where half of you probably skip it (yeah, I see you 😭).

I recently released a new fanfic called My Ordinary Youth During a Certain Apocalypse.

It's still pretty new, so not many people know about it yet. The idea is actually something I've had high hopes for:

What if the main character reincarnates into a slice-of-life mashup world… and then a zombie apocalypse suddenly breaks out?

Slice of life × chaos × survival.

When I started translating the first 30 chapters (which are already on WebNovel), I realized the original author did a solid job. The structure is clean, the characters are consistent, and the story flows well — which makes my job way easier compared to some other projects.

Now, don't get me wrong. The current fanfic you're reading has a great concept and a lot of strong moments — that's exactly why so many people love it. But sometimes the chapters were messy: repeated scenes, endings copied into the next chapter, character inconsistencies… stuff like that.

Still, the core idea was strong, and that's what matters most.
