"Die!"
Jogo's entire frame shuddered, his face twisted into an expression of ecstatic frenzy. He and Hanami lunged from both sides simultaneously, pouring every ounce of their cursed energy into a synchronized strike against Satoru Gojo.
Satoru didn't move. He didn't even twitch. He simply watched them with a gaze of utter, freezing contempt.
BOOM!!!
Upon impact, Satoru's eyes widened a fraction. His "Infinity" had been breached.
Reacting instantly, Satoru's body blurred into motion. He raised his arms, parrying the follow-up blows from Hanami and Jogo with brutal efficiency. Before Jogo could even register the block, a lightning-fast whip-kick caught him in the torso, sending the volcano-head hurtling through the air!
Hanami barely had time to blink before an iron grip clamped around their throat.
Satoru slammed Hanami's face into the concrete wall and began to sprint, utilizing high-speed movement. Hanami's head ground against the stone with horrific force; rubble sprayed like shrapnel as half of the curse's wooden face was sanded down to raw pulp!
Satoru let out a jagged, feral laugh. "Domain Amplification? Did you really think that little trick would be enough to save you?"
"Hanami!"
Jogo and Mahito scrambled, grabbing terrified civilians and hurling them at Satoru like projectiles.
"Tch!"
Clicking his tongue in annoyance, Satoru threw Hanami aside with a bone-shattering punch and moved to catch the falling humans.
"Polyisomorphism!"
Suddenly, two of the humans Mahito had thrown began to warp. Their bodies fused together like grotesque putty, bubbling and expanding as their systems rejected the unnatural merger. With a sickening squelch, the mass of flesh exploded.
"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue!"
A flash of azure light flickered. The kinetic energy of the explosion was sucked inward by the gravitational pull, containing the blast before it could shred the survivors. Satoru set the civilians down, but Jogo and Mahito were already lobbing more people his way.
"Bastards!"
Satoru looked up, his speed accelerating until he was a white-haired phantom. After clearing the area of bystanders, he closed the distance before the curses could even react.
"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!"
A crimson orb detonated directly against Mahito's face, vaporizing his skull into a spray of grey matter. In the same heartbeat, Satoru was on Jogo. He seized the curse's arm and yanked with tectonic force.
RIP!
Jogo's left arm was torn clean from its socket, purple blood geysering into the air.
Nearby, Hanami dragged themselves from the rubble, watching the carnage. He's touching Jogo directly... Satoru has deactivated the Infinity to fight. If I...
If the Infinity was down, Satoru had abandoned his absolute defense. This was the opening they had died for. All Hanami had to do was drop Domain Amplification and unleash their innate technique.
But then, Hanami saw Mahito—whose head was already knitting back together in a desperate surge of cursed energy—and remembered the warning from earlier.
No! Keep the Amplification active!
Hanami lunged back into the fray, engaging Satoru in a frantic, close-quarters struggle to buy time.
"Not biting, huh?" Satoru muttered, feeling the pressure.
Mahito had briefly dropped his amplification to use Idle Transfiguration, but Satoru had been too busy saving lives to capitalize on it. He'd hoped dropping his own barrier would lure Hanami into a fatal mistake, but the curse was staying disciplined.
"Fine then. I'll just beat you into the dirt with my bare hands!"
Satoru roared, grabbing Jogo and Hanami by their heads and slamming them together with a sickening crunch.
"Pffft—" Jogo spat a mouthful of dark blood, his internal organs feeling like shattered glass. Damn you, Kenjaku! Is it ready yet?!
Deep within the subway tunnels, Kenjaku sat with his chin in his hand. "Still a bit longer. Satoru Gojo is still far too energetic."
Just then, a blinding white light cut through the gloom of the station.
"The train! Look! The subway is coming!"
"Quick! Get on! We can escape!"
The hostages, their sanity long since frayed by the sight of exploding bodies and monster battles, surged toward the platform. They didn't stop to ask why a train was running in a city that had been declared a wasteland.
The answer arrived as the doors hissed open.
"M-monsters!"
Thousands of transfigured humans spilled out of the carriages like a tide of starving rats, pouncing on the crowd. Mahito had filled an entire train with his "merchandise" beforehand, packing them in like cargo. The station became a chaotic sea of screaming humans and mutated beasts.
"Let's see you save them now!" Mahito laughed, shrinking his body and vanishing into the crowd.
Satoru Gojo suddenly raised his right hand.
"Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void."
For a fraction of a second, the world lost its color, becoming a stark, two-dimensional plane of absolute information.
A heartbeat later, reality snapped back.
Every transfigured human had been obliterated. The civilians lay slumped on the ground, catatonic but alive. Jogo, Hanami, and Mahito were on their knees, eyes rolled back, blood gushing from massive wounds in their chests.
Unlike the records of his past battles, Satoru's Unlimited Void had become targeted; he could now direct the mental overload with surgical precision. But with the crowd so thick and the curses hiding, he had opted for a 0.2-second burst across the entire floor. It was enough to paralyze everyone without causing permanent brain damage.
In those 0.2 seconds, Satoru had moved through the station, executing every monster and dealing near-fatal blows to the Disaster Curses.
"Hah... hah..."
Satoru panted, his chest heaving. Even for him, that level of precision was taxing. The civilians were safe for now, and the curses were half-dead.
"Oh? To think there was such an exquisite toy left over. What a surprise!"
The voice made Satoru spin around. Ryomen Sukuna stood there with a thin, mocking smile, looking down at him.
In Sukuna's right hand, he held a dripping, severed head.
Satoru's pupils shrank to pinpricks.
It was the head of his brother, Souma Gojo.
Sukuna chuckled. "Your brother was impressive. He actually gave me a moment of pleasure. Dying at my feet is the only thing he's done in his life worth remembering."
He casually tossed the head. It rolled across the floor, coming to a stop at Satoru's feet.
Satoru stared at the blood-stained face of his brother, his entire body beginning to tremble as a thousand thoughts raced through his mind. Memories of their childhood, their training, their shared vow to be the strongest...
"Gate, open!"
Clack-clack-clack—
Behind Satoru, eight blood-red cubes appeared, each sporting a singular, staring eye. Fleshy tendrils erupted from the cubes, lashing around Satoru's limbs like a parasitic web.
The Prison Realm was open.
Satoru snapped back to reality. He looked down and kicked the head away—the illusion shattered. He turned cold eyes toward the "Sukuna" in front of him.
"A perfect disguise."
"Kenjaku!"
The image of Sukuna melted away like butter, revealing the form of Haruta Shigemo.
Kenjaku smiled. "You figured it out? A bit late, I'm afraid."
"That single moment of shock was enough for the Six Eyes to process a lifetime of data. You've been standing there for far longer than a minute in your head. Such a touching displays of brotherly love, Satoru Gojo."
