"Long time no see, Kaido."
"Now you've become someone who can stand shoulder to shoulder with Whitebeard."
Redfield looked at Kaido and spoke evenly.
Though he rarely moved openly in the outside world, he had always watched the changes in the global situation from the shadows.
He had witnessed Kaido's rise to Emperor step by step.
At Redfield's words, the two Supernovas standing nearby and Enel all frowned slightly.
They didn't know much about Redfield.
But from the tone of the conversation alone, they could tell—
this was another terrifying figure from an older age.
"As expected of the members of Leader Rōmu's alliance…"
"Every one of them is an outrageous monster."
That same thought flashed through all their minds.
Redfield then turned to Rōmu and asked respectfully,
"Leader, shall we strike now?"
His eyes swept across the Marines below, who were already at the edge of collapse.
Redfield had been born with extraordinary Observation Haki and had been able to read the thoughts of others since childhood. That ability had made him grow to despise human company and become profoundly孤僻 and arrogant.
But Rōmu—
was the one person he had never once been able to see through.
"Not yet."
"There are still people who haven't arrived."
Rōmu's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked toward the horizon.
At some distance away, Golden Lion floated in the air with his arms folded.
"Oi! Lone Red!"
"You old bastard, so you were still alive after all!"
Shiki shouted loudly when he saw Redfield suddenly appear beside Rōmu.
For years, there had been no news of Redfield at all. Shiki had nearly believed he was dead.
Yet here he was—
alive and apparently in better shape than Shiki himself.
That irritated him to no end.
Redfield glanced at him.
"Golden Lion. Not only am I alive, I'm doing quite well."
"But you're still as obsessed with appearances as ever. Even the way you make your entrance is unnecessarily flashy."
Then his eyes dropped to the thing sticking out of Shiki's head.
"And I have to say… that thing on your head suits you perfectly."
Shiki's expression instantly darkened.
Of all things, he hated having that brought up the most.
For a moment his hand moved toward his swords, clearly wanting to draw them and settle things with Redfield right then and there.
But remembering the occasion, he forced himself to stop.
"You should learn from Edward here. Much steadier than you."
Redfield let out a soft snort.
Whitebeard only gave the exchange a side glance and chuckled to himself, refusing to get involved.
But the pirates around them had all gone completely still.
"Who the hell is this guy? He dares joke around with Shiki and Whitebeard like that?"
"That takes some insane courage! Those are Emperor-level monsters!"
"Judging from what Shiki called him… could this really be the Lone Red?"
"Don't tell me he's also someone from the era of Rocks!"
"The Lone Red… that name sounds familiar…"
To casually joke around with Whitebeard and Golden Lion—
that meant one of two things.
Either he was suicidal—
or he was strong enough that he simply didn't care.
And soon, someone among the pirates finally reacted.
"Wait, I remember now!"
"No wonder the name sounded familiar!"
"He's the Lone Red—Baloric Redfield! A great pirate who stood shoulder to shoulder with Whitebeard and Shiki in the era of Rocks!"
At those words, a massive uproar broke out.
They had known the man had to be strong.
But they had never imagined he was that strong.
When they looked at him again, their eyes had changed completely.
And what shocked them even more was this:
Even a man like that…
was still only one of Rōmu's subordinates.
Just as everyone was still reeling from that revelation—
another sound came from the distant sea.
Everyone turned.
Beyond the mist at the horizon, a huge fleet was approaching Marineford.
The moment the crowd saw it clearly, every heart clenched.
Could there possibly be another major force arriving?
And soon—
the fleet broke through the fog and drew close enough to reveal itself in full.
The whole battlefield fell deathly silent.
Even the News Coo wearing visual Den Den Mushi devices instinctively flew upward, giving the world a clear view of the approaching ships.
At the front of the fleet was an enormous vessel with four towering masts. Its black hull looked as though it had been forged from iron. Most eye-catching of all was the giant azure dragon fixed at its bow, giving the ship the appearance of a dragon-headed warship cleaving through the sea wind.
This was the Revolutionary Army's flagship:
The Wind Granma.
Standing at the front deck were ten figures.
At the center stood a middle-aged man in a dark green cloak. A red tattoo stretched across the left side of his face. His black hair was slicked back, his expression fierce, his brows absent, and rough stubble framed his jaw.
It was none other than—
Monkey D. Dragon, leader of the Revolutionary Army.
At his side stood the core executives of the Revolutionary Army.
To his left stood the Chief of Staff, Sabo.
To his right stood Emporio Ivankov, commander of the Grand Line army.
Behind them were the commanders of the various seas:
Inazuma, Belo Betty, Ahiru, Lindbergh, Morley, Karasu, Koala, Terry Gilteo, Hack, and Bunny Joe.
All of them wore dark green cloaks and stared toward Marineford with grave, burning expressions.
And behind the flagship, countless other vessels filled the sea.
A massive Revolutionary Army force had arrived in full.
"The Revolutionary Army?!"
"Why are they here too? Isn't this supposed to be a war between pirates and the Navy?"
"What the hell is going on? This Marineford war is even bigger than anyone imagined!"
"So that's Dragon… the leader of the Revolutionary Army?"
"He really does have terrifying presence. Just looking at him feels oppressive."
All across the world, viewers stared in complete disbelief at the appearance of the Revolutionary Army.
This was no pirate fleet.
This was the world's largest anti-government force—
an organization whose entire purpose was to overthrow the Celestial Dragons and the structure of the World Government itself.
And now, they had openly assembled at the Navy Headquarters.
What did that mean?
Had they really come to overturn the world?
