Bang Gu's words calmed Allen down.
This was a world where one could become Monster and powerhouses simply by extreme willpower. Perhaps he could also greatly enhance his Psychokinesis. This was a great opportunity for Allen to break through his limits!
Allen took a deep breath and looked up at the sky.
At this moment, Saitama had already flown beneath the meteorite.
"Don't…" He raised his right fist and slowly pulled it back.
"Fall on my—city!"
The moment Saitama's fist made contact with the meteorite, the entire sky seemed to freeze for a second.
"Boom—!!!"
A deafening explosion echoed through the sky, and a huge shockwave spread out in a ring, dispersing all the clouds. Countless cracks appeared on the surface of the meteorite, and then it shattered into countless burning fragments.
"He really shattered it! Unbelievable!" Bang Gu's eyes widened, somewhat disbelievingly watching this scene.
"But… countless meteorite fragments will still destroy this city." Bang Gu's mood was a bit heavy.
"Here they come!"
Just then, Allen roared, green light radiating from his entire body, veins bulging on his forehead.
Meteorite fragments rained down like raindrops. Allen, enveloped in green light, fully activated the Psychokinesis he had just gained, attempting to gather the larger meteorite fragments together for easier cleanup.
"Stop—for me!" Allen clasped his hands together. He felt a sharp pain in his brain, and blood began to seep from his facial orifices.
Bang Gu stood beside Allen, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.
He saw Allen enveloped in a pale green energy, and the falling meteorite fragments actually began to move slowly.
"This is… Psychokinesis?" Bang Gu muttered to himself.
Allen felt as if his brain was being pricked by countless needles, but he gritted his teeth and persevered.
The large meteorite fragments gradually converged under his control. The speed of this pile of fragments slightly slowed, but they were still falling, about to crash into Z-City.
"It's not enough… just a little more." Allen's eyes were bloodshot, his expression extremely ferocious. The evolution speed of his Psychokinesis also rapidly increased at this moment.
20%... 25%... 38%... 51%
Just at this critical moment, a silver figure flashed by.
"Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist!"
Bang Gu's figure appeared below the fragments. His fists became countless afterimages, each strike precisely hitting the critical points of the fragments. The huge meteorite fragments were shattered into smaller rocks in mid-air.
Allen immediately adjusted his Psychokinesis, guiding the small rocks towards the No Mans Land.
At the same time, explosions were heard throughout the city as other fragments had already landed.
Although a devastating blow was avoided, Z-City still suffered severe damage.
After the smoke cleared, Saitama landed back on the ground, wearing his usual casual expression: "We held it."
Bang Gu gave a wry smile: "At least most of the city was saved."
"Where is Allen-kun?" Saitama looked at Bang Gu.
Bang Gu pointed to Allen, who was slumped on the ground not far away: "He's exhausted and passed out."
Saitama walked over, looked at Allen, whose face was covered in blood, and rushed over.
"Allen-kun!" Saitama quickly ran over to check on Allen's condition.
Bang Gu squatted down and checked him: "He's just overdrawn his mental energy; a little rest will do him good."
[Ding! Psychokinesis evolution complete!]
When Allen woke up again, he found himself lying in a hospital bed.
Outside the window, the reconstruction of Z-City had already begun.
"You're awake?" Saitama was sitting by the bed, peeling an apple.
"The doctor said you just overtaxed your mental energy; a few days of rest will do you good."
Allen felt the changes in his body; his Psychokinesis had completely evolved.
He felt the unusually abundant Psychokinesis within him and tried to activate it, but he felt weak all over, and a sharp pain shot through his mind.
Saitama handed over the peeled apple: "Eat something."
Allen took the apple and took a bite: "How many days have I slept?"
"Seven days." Saitama placed the fruit knife on the bedside table.
"The doctor said your condition was very unusual. Your brain activity was extremely abnormal, becoming more active day by day, but you just wouldn't wake up."
Allen tried to sit up and found that all his muscles ached, especially his temples throbbed with pain.
He looked out the window. Z-City had lost a few iconic buildings, but most of the urban area still looked relatively intact.
Saitama suddenly remembered something: "Ah, Genos said he was coming to see you; he should be here soon."
No sooner had Saitama finished speaking than the ward door was pushed open again.
A blonde cyborg stood at the doorway, his mechanical eyes flashing with golden light: "Are you Mr. Allen? I am Genos, Master's disciple."
Allen looked at Genos standing in front of him and felt a headache coming on. All his Vaccine Man, Giant, and so on would be gone, and perhaps even his Asura Kabuto would be gone.
"How did you two meet?" He looked at them.
Genos stood respectfully by the bed: "Yesterday, while I was pursuing a Demon-Level Monster, I was severely injured."
"Teacher saved me." Genos turned to Saitama, his eyes shining with admiration, "Teacher eliminated that Monster with just one palm."
Allen looked at Genos's fervent expression and breathed a sigh of relief. As expected, what was meant to happen still happened; Genos still became Saitama's disciple.
But thankfully, judging by Genos's description, the Demon-Level Monster should have been Mosquito Girl, so Asura Kabuto was still there. At least Allen would still have Dragon-Level Monster' meat to eat later.
Just then, the ward door opened again, and a doctor in a white coat walked in.
"Mr. Allen, your test results are out." The doctor pushed up his glasses.
"Your brain activity is abnormally high and seems to have undergone some changes. We recommend observing you for a few more days."
Allen nodded: "Okay, Doctor."
"Oh, right, that old man said he wanted to take you as his disciple." Saitama suddenly spoke.
"He said you're very talented, and if you're willing, you can go to the dojo to find him and become his disciple."
Allen was stunned for a moment: "Old man? Are you talking about Bang?"
Saitama nodded: "Yes, that old man."
Genos added from the side: "Bang is a legendary figure in the martial arts world. To be noticed by him is a very rare opportunity."
Allen pondered for a moment. Although Bang Gu's Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist was very strong, what he needed more now was to improve his physical fitness.
However, learning some martial arts techniques would also be beneficial for improving his combat power.
"I'll visit him after I'm discharged from the hospital," Allen said.
Three days later, Allen completed his discharge procedures.
His Psychokinesis had fully recovered and had achieved a terrifying boost. If the current Allen were to stop the meteorite fragments, he could probably easily crush them into powder.
This also made him wonder if the way to improve Psychokinesis was to constantly break through limits, overdrawing his mental energy to gain enhancement.
